Behavioral health training for integrated behavioral health: A Delphi study

open access: yesCounselor Education and Supervision, EarlyView.
Abstract Using a classical Delphi design, the authors used an interdisciplinary panel of behavioral health experts in integrated behavioral health (IBH) to identify foundational skills and knowledge counselor educators need to teach clinical mental health counselors for IBH practice. Eighty‐eight statements were identified.

Speaking of Stigma: Piloting Language Training in Addiction Counseling Coursework

open access: yesCounselor Education and Supervision, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This pilot study examined counselor‐in‐training (CIT) attitudes and awareness regarding stigma and stigmatizing language aimed at those with substance use disorders before and after an author‐developed educational intervention. Results indicated this intervention positively impacted CIT awareness and attitudes and their ability to identify and

Coordinate Network Mapping of Focal Brain Volume Differences in ADHD Reveals Common Patterns That Lack Specificity: A Systematic Review

open access: yesAnnals of the Child Neurology Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has been associated with decreased regional brain volume, yet no consistent localization has emerged across studies. This discrepancy has been attributed to ADHD's diagnostic heterogeneity; however, one alternative is that ADHD is associated with alterations of brain networks, not ...

Safety, Tolerability, and Pharmacokinetics of Donanemab in Healthy Chinese Participants: A Phase 1, Randomized, Double‐Blind, Placebo‐Controlled Study

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology in Drug Development, EarlyView.
Abstract Alzheimer's disease (AD), characterized by β‐amyloid (Aβ) plaques and neurofibrillary tangles, is the leading cause of dementia globally. Donanemab is a humanized immunoglobulin G1 in development as a treatment to slow AD progression. This study aimed to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PKs), and immunogenicity of donanemab

Estimating the Frequency of False‐Negative Pharmacogenetic Test Results by Self‐Reported Ancestry

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Concerns about the applicability of pharmacogenetic (PGx) testing across diverse ancestry groups have risen from the underrepresentation of non‐European populations in PGx research. Current PGx panels may fail to detect relevant variants in non‐European populations, increasing the likelihood of false‐negative results.

Prevalence of Actionable Pharmacogenetic Genotype Frequencies, Cautionary Medication Use, and Polypharmacy in Community‐Dwelling Older Adults

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Older adults (65 years and over) frequently manage complex medication regimens and are vulnerable to adverse drug reactions and treatment inefficacies, some of which could be preventable with pharmacogenetics (PGx)‐guided prescribing. This study examined the prevalence of actionable PGx genotypes (i.e., those linked to a guideline that recommends a ...

Absolute Oral Bioavailability and Bioequivalence of LSD Base and Tartrate in a Double‐Blind, Placebo‐Controlled, Crossover Study

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) is currently being investigated as a potential treatment for psychiatric and neurological disorders. Different LSD formulations (base or tartrate, oral or intravenous) are being used. Unclear is whether LSD base and tartrate pharmacokinetics are equivalent.

Metabolism study of 3‐chloromethcathinone (3‐CMC) by dried blood spot (DBS) sampling after controlled administration using a murine model

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
The metabolism of 3‐chloromethcathinone (3‐CMC) was studied after controlled administration in a murine model using the dried blood spot (DBS) technique for the sampling, storage and purification of blood samples. The metabolite profile of 3‐CMC was studied by LC‐HRMS, while the stability of 3‐CMC and its three identified metabolites was also assessed ...
