Presurgery 72‐h fasting in GB patients leads to adaptations of plasma lipids and polar metabolites. Fasting reduces lysophosphatidylcholines and increases free fatty acids, shifts triglycerides toward long‐chain TGs and increases branched‐chain amino acids, alpha aminobutyric acid, and uric acid.

Urban vs. rural divide in HTTPS implementation for hospital websites in Illinois [PDF]

The Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) communications protocol is used to secure traffic between a web browser and server. This technology can significantly reduce the risk of interception and manipulation of web information for nefarious purposes such as identity theft.
