Exploring the influence of lactoferrin on wound healing and related signaling pathways: a systematic review

Lactoferrin promotes wound healing by activating MAPK, PI3K/Akt, and extracellular matrix pathways, enhancing fibroblast remodeling, proliferation, and re‐epithelialization. These mechanisms highlight its therapeutic potential in inflammation control, tissue repair, and remodeling.

Identifying and characterising a plant GH1 β‐glucosidase that exhibits hydrolytic activity on N‐linked glucopyranoside

Structural studies and functional engineering of NanX: an anhydro‐sialic acid transporter from Escherichia coli

Biophysical characterisation shows that NanX, a membrane transport protein from the major facilitator superfamily (MFS), forms both monomers and dimers after purification. Salmonella enterica serovar typhi limits the potency of typhoid toxin and ADP‐ribosylating toxin AB to establish a persistent infection

The two catalytic subunits of typhoid toxin dissociate from the holotoxin in the ER of an intoxicated cell, but only CdtB exits the ER to generate immunosuppressive effects. PltA is retained in the ER and sequestered from its cytosolic target, thus allowing the anti‐inflammatory effects of CdtB to promote intestinal colonization.

Cell surface CD11c as a neutrophil aging marker molecule

Cell surface CD11chi neutrophils were more aged and had better phagocytic function than CD11c−/lo neutrophils. Transcriptomic analysis of CD11chi neutrophils and CD11c−/lo neutrophils in pediatric population showed that the most difference was seen in infants.
