Compressible flow hot-wire calibration
Experiments in Fluids, 1997A resistance thermal anemometer operated in compressible flow is sensitive to density, velocity, and total temperature fluctuations. To address these effects, a relatively inexpensive compressible flow calibration facility has been developed and tested.

However, these possibilities are relatively limited because around 3/5 of the atoms in most oxide glasses are oxygens. An alternative approach involves post-treatment of the glass.

Quinacridone Solubility in Hot-Compressed Water
Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2007The solubility of quinacridone in hot-compressed water was measured for the first time at temperatures from (453.4 to 592.9) K and at a pressure of 24 MPa with a flow-type apparatus. The solubility varied from 1.07 × 10-5 mol·kg-1 at 453.4 K to 5.89 × 10-3 mol·kg-1 at 592.9 K.

Acrolein synthesis from glycerol in hot-compressed water
Bioresource Technology, 2007Glycerol conversion was conducted in hot-compressed water (HCW: 573-673 K, 25-34.5 MPa) using a batch and a flow apparatus and the influences of temperature, H(2)SO(4), glycerol concentration, and pressure, were examined.
