Hot ductility of steel 08Kh18N10T
Metal Science and Heat Treatment, 2011Hot ductility of steel 08Kh18N10T is studied on heating and cooling in the range 600 – 1050°C with a deformation rate of 3.3 × 10-3 sec-1. Reasons are detected and explained for the occurrence of steel ductility peaks in heating ad cooling branches of dependences on test temperature. Recommendations are given for a forming regime.

Investigation of the hot ductility of a high-strength boron steel
In this study, the high-temperature ductility behaviour of an Al-Si-coated 22MnB5 sheet was investigated. The mechanical properties of Al-Si-coated 22MnB5 boron steel were examined via hot tensile tests performed at temperatures ranging from 400 to 900 ...

Hot ductility of leaded free-cutting steels
Metallography, 1984Abstract The hot ductility of three as-cast low carbon steels with similar volume fractions of inclusions, but with Mn/S ratios varying from 2.9 to 4.4, has been studied by hot torsion testing in an inert atmosphere at temperatures from 900° to 1250°C. Ductility, measured as equivalent surface strain to fracture, showed scatter for repeat tests of up

Hot ductility of an austenitic and a ferritic stainless steel
Materials Science and Technology, 1997AbstractThe influence of strain rate and grain size on the hot ductility of an austenitic and aferritic stainless steel has been examined. Samples were cooled from the austenitising temperature to temperatures in the range 1000 to 700°C and tensile tested at strain rates in the range 10−1 to 10−4 S−1.

Influence of titanium on hot ductility of as cast steels
Materials Science and Technology, 1991The influence on hot ductility of a small addition (0·02%) of titanium to C–Mn–Al–Nb steel and 0·05/0·15%C–Mn–Al steels has been examined over the temperature range 700–1100°C and at a strain rate ...

Hot Working of Ductile Iron Alloyed With Molybdenum

Hot ductility of wrought 90Cu–10Ni alloy
Materials Science and Technology, 1988AbstractThe ductility of a wrought 90Cu–10Ni alloy was investigated by tensile testing over a range of temperatures and for materials of different initial grain sizes. Ductilities were found to vary in a complex manner with temperature and grain size, but at all temperatures above 650 K failure occurred by grain boundary cavitation; good ductilities ...

Effect of Al2O3 inclusions on the hot ductility of nickel
Metal Science and Heat Treatment, 19731. Inclusions of Al2O3 in amounts up to 0.2%, evenly distributed in nickel, have a negligible effect on the hot ductility of nickel in torsion tests. 2. With 0.5% Al2O3 the ductility decreases greatly due to the formation of clusters of Al2O3.

Influence of phosphorus on the hot ductility of 2.25Cr1Mo steel
Materials Science and Technology, 2003AbstractThe effect of phosphorus at two levels (0.01 and 0.06 wt-%) on the hot ductility of 2.25Cr1Mo steel has been investigated over the temperature range 700-1200 °C using a Gleeble machine. Auger electron spectroscopy indicated that phosphorus segregation to austenite grain boundaries had occurred in the higher phosphorus steel.
