Hot workability of nanocrystalline AZ91 magnesium alloy [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Alloys and Compounds, 2014
This study examined the hot deformation behavior and workability characteristics of nanocrystalline AZ91 Mg alloy by performing hot compression tests with a Gleeble-3800 machine. To this end, a nanocrystalline alloy powder with a crystallite size of 25 nm was synthesized via mechanical milling of a pre-alloyed AZ91 Mg alloy powder for 14 h.

Effect of pre-deformation on hot workability of super austenitic stainless steel

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2022
The hot compression behavior of 7Mo-0.37N-RE super austenitic stainless steel (SASS), subjected to solution treatment and pre-deformation, is systematically investigated in the temperature range of 900–1200 °C and strain rates of 0.01–10 s−1. The results

The effect of lead on the hot workability of austenitic stainless steel with a solidification structure [PDF]

open access: yesMetalurgija, 2010
The impurities sulphur, phosphorus, lead, bismuth, tin and antimony affect the hot workability of stainless steels. In this study we show that lead segregate to phase and solidification-grain boundaries, where cracks appear during hot deformation.
