Implantable, Label‐Free NIR‐Based Porous Silicon Biosensor for Monitoring Biomarkers in Interstitial Fluid

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
Implantable biosensors hold the promise to revolutionize the way disease diagnosis and progression during treatment are viewed. However, in the current state of art, their efficiency is limited by certain material challenges. Porous Silicon (pSi) is a viable material for in vivo monitoring of biomarkers, and its potential as an implantable biosensor is

Development of f‐ELISA Sensors with Ultrahigh Sensitivity for On‐Site Colorimetric Detection of Fentanyl and Norfentanyl

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
A foam‐based ELISA (f‐ELISA) platform was developed using chemically modified melamine foam to enable rapid, ultrasensitive, and selective colorimetric detection of fentanyl and norfentanyl. Abstract Rapid and accurate detection of fentanyl in unknown products and aqueous samples can find the unexpected existence of the toxic chemical and assist law ...

A Polyoxometalate—Carbon Nanotube Enhanced Electrochemical Sensor for Aptamer‐Based Diagnostics

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
The high electroactive surface area of multi‐walled carbon nanotubes decorated with aptamer‐functionalized polyoxovanadate units enables a ≈1000‐fold increase in peak current response for a model diclofenac detection in aqueous solution compared to unmodified platinum microelectrodes.

Ni Single Atoms in Zeolite Beta for Selective Alkyne Hydrogenation

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
Single‐atom Ni in zeolite Beta (Ni1/BEA) selectively remove trace acetylene from ethylene. Ni1/BEA achieve full conversion with ≈89% ethylene selectivity, stable for 24 h without coking, and 12 times higher TOF than prior zeolite‐supported single‐atom Ni catalysts. Na+ exchange suppress Brønsted acid‐catalyzed oligomerization. Under ethylene‐rich feeds,

Hemp Proteins Conjugated with Green Tea Polyphenol Extract Form De Novo Plant‐Sourced Emulsifiers Suitable for Nanodelivery Systems Bearing Lipophilic Psychopharmaceuticals

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Green tea polyphenols, conjugated either covalently or non‐covalently to hemp protein, comprise an excellent stabilizing matrix for oxidatively‐sensitive small molecules. These nanoemulsions are highly stable to a variety of chemical and physical stressors, protecting the small molecule while allowing for easy uptake across cell membranes and rapid ...
