HRM as a significant factor for achieving competitiveness through people – The case of Croatia [PDF]

open access: yes
Traditional sources of competitiveness, such as production capacities, financial resources, raw materials, distribution channels etc., are considered necessary, but no longer sufficient for organizational success. Human resources, their knowledge, skills

Enhancement of Dissymmetry Factors Through Axial Elongation of Hetero[n]helicenes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A benzofuran scaffolding strategy enables the synthesis of hetero[9]‐, [12]‐, and [15]helicenes. Structural and chiroptical analyses demonstrate that systematic axial elongation increases helical distortion and significantly amplifies luminescence dissymmetry.

Introducing Diradicaloid Thiele's Hydrocarbon Derivatives as Ligand in Transition Metal Chemistry

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
N‐doped Thiele's hydrocarbon derivative is introduced as a ligand for the synthesis of mono‐ and bimetallic rhodium complexes as well as cyclometalated iridium complexes. These compounds constitute the first metal complexes based on a Thiele's hydrocarbon (or p‐quinodimethane) derivative and, to the best of our knowledge, the first cyclometalated ...

A de‐novo Approach Towards Divergent [3+2π/σ] Photocycloadditions of Nitrones via Assembly‐Controlled Kinetic Electron Transfer Gating

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A metal‐free photocatalytic platform converts nitrones into 4‐isoxazolines and oxa–aza–bicycloheptanes through divergent [3+2π/σ] cycloadditions. Assembly‐controlled kinetic electron transfer gating dictates substrate activation, enabling selective reactivity beyond thermodynamic expectations.

'HRM and performance', research without theory? A literature review. [PDF]

open access: yes
Due to the increasingly intense global competition and the corresponding search for sources of sustained competitive advantage during the last thirty years, the interest in strategic management has risen, both among academics and practitioners.

Access to Unsupported Iminobismuthane and Tetraazabismole Species Enabled by a Rigid and Bulky Organobismuthinidene

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
By employing a sterically bulky monocoordinate bismuthinidene, the synthesis and characterization of the first examples of an unsupported iminobismuthane and tetraazabismole was achieved via reactions with organic azides. The corresponding amines could be accessed by reduction, leading to the regeneration of the Bi(I) compound. Hence, we also highlight

Chiral Fjord‐Edged Nanographenes Constructed by Allylic‐Migration‐Mediated Cyclization

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A novel allylic‐migration‐mediated cyclization strategy enables the construction of two fjord‐edged nanographenes without steric blocking groups. The resulting non‐planar molecules exhibit remarkable chiroptical properties, with an absorption dissymmetry factor surpassing those of pristine [5]helicene and previously reported fjord‐edged nanographenes ...

Evidence for a Cu(II)‐Catalysed CuAAC Reaction: A Combined Experimental and Computational Study

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A new mechanistic pathway for the CuAAC reaction has been found to operate under specific reaction conditions. The pathway is catalysed by Cu(II) through a self‐assembled dinuclear Cu(II) complex that incorporates the triazole product. Computational analysis and assessment of generality are reported.

Targeting MAT Gene (LOC_Os11g15410) polymorphisms involved in tocopherol and tocotrienol conversions in rice

open access: yesCrop Breeding and Applied Biotechnology
Accumulation of tocopherol and tocotrienol antioxidant compounds in rice seeds depends on enzymes involved in their biosynthetic pathways, including methionine adenosyltransferase (MAT). The aim of this study was to develop molecular markers for MAT gene

White‐Light‐Mediated Imidazole Catalysis Toward Terpene‐Based Thermosets

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
White‐light irradiation enables the photoinitiator‐free curing of fully bio‐based terpene epoxy–anhydride systems. A light‐induced switch in epoxide ring‐opening selectivity leads to colorless, transparent thermosets with enhanced thermomechanical performance, revealing an unexpected pathway for sustainable terpene‐based network formation.
