Cross-evaluation of modelled and remotely sensed surface soil moisture with in situ data in southwestern France [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The SMOSMANIA soil moisture network in Southwestern France is used to evaluate modelled and remotely sensed soil moisture products. The surface soil moisture (SSM) measured in situ at 5 cm permits to evaluate SSM from the SIM operational ...

Unusual Activities of the Thioesterase Domain for the Biosynthesis of the Polycyclic Tetramate Macrolactam HSAF in Lysobacter enzymogenes C3

open access: yesBiochemistry, 2011
HSAF is an antifungal natural product with a new mode of action. A rare bacterial iterative PKS-NRPS assembles the HSAF skeleton. The biochemical characterization of the NRPS revealed that the thioesterase (TE) domain possesses the activities of both a protease and a peptide ligase.

The soil bacterium Lysobacter capsici attaches to the nematode surface, and triggers induced systemic resistance in barley, impairing the invasion of root‐lesion nematodes

open access: yesOikos, Volume 2025, Issue 4, April 2025.
Root‐lesion nematodes pose a global threat to crop yield and stability, with their broad host range presenting a formidable challenge for effective management. In this study, we investigated the role of the nematode‐attached bacterium Lysobacter capsici in mitigating the invasion of Pratylenchus penetrans into spring barley roots.

Systematic optimization for production of the anti‐MRSA antibiotics WAP‐8294A in an engineered strain of Lysobacter enzymogenes

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 12, Issue 6, Page 1430-1440, November 2019., 2019
This manuscript described a simple method for yield improvement of a group of potent anti‐MRSA natural products (WAP‐8294As) in a genus of underexplored microorganisms, Lysobacter. Through a systematic investigation of the optimal culture conditions for WAP‐8294As production in an engineered Lysobacter strain, the yield of the antibiotics increased by ...

Erweiterung der Vielfalt der Kernstruktur von Polycyclischen Tetramsäure‐Haltigen Makrolactamen (PoTeMs) durch Chemo‐Enzymatische Synthese und Bio‐Engineering

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 13, March 24, 2025.
Polycyclische Tetramsäure‐haltige Makrolactame (PoTeMs) leiten sich vom Ornithin‐basierten Lysobacteren A ab.

The Role of Liquid Fuels Channel Configuration on the Combustion inside Cylindrical Mesoscale Combustor

open access: yesJournal of Combustion, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
This research intended to investigate combustion of liquid fuel in 3.5 mm inner diameter quartz glass tube mesocombustor, based on liquid film evaporation by using heat recirculation. The mesocombustor has a copper section for heating and evaporating the liquid fuel.

Non-Universal Critical Behaviour of Two-Dimensional Ising Systems

open access: yes, 2004
Two conditions are derived for Ising models to show non-universal critical behaviour, namely conditions concerning 1) logarithmic singularity of the specific heat and 2) degeneracy of the ground state. These conditions are satisfied with the eight-vertex
