The remarkable multivalency of the Hsp70 chaperones
Hsp70 proteins are key to maintaining intracellular protein homeostasis. To carry out this task, they employ a large number of cochaperones and adapter proteins.

Integrative Approaches to Treating Cellular Senescence in Kidney Disease
ABSTRACT Cellular senescence in the kidney plays a crucial role in the progression of acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease. Therapeutic approaches targeting senescent cells, such as small molecule senolytic and senomorphic drugs, display efficacy in preclinical models.

This review surveys nanoparticle‐based strategies to enhance adoptive cell therapy, particularly CAR‐T cell approaches, in solid tumor treatment. It describes how nanoparticles can improve tumor immunogenicity and T‐cell infiltration while reducing toxicity, and how they enable in vivo CAR‐T cell generation.

Myopathy associated BAG3 mutations lead to protein aggregation by stalling Hsp70 networks
BAG3 is a multi-domain hub that connects two classes of chaperones, small heat shock proteins (sHSPs) via two isoleucine-proline-valine (IPV) motifs and Hsp70 via a BAG domain.

Functions of J-domain proteins in mitochondrial protein biogenesis. [PDF]
Abstract Mitochondrial biogenesis and functions depend on the import and assembly of more than 1000 proteins that are made as precursors on cytosolic ribosomes. The majority of these precursor proteins are transported from the ribosome to the translocase of the outer membrane (TOM complex), which constitutes the main entry site for mitochondrial ...

Hsp70 Inhibits the Nucleation and Elongation of Tau and Sequesters Tau Aggregates with High Affinity
As a key player of the protein quality control network of the cell, the molecular chaperone Hsp70 inhibits the aggregation of the amyloid protein tau. To date, the mechanism of this inhibition and the tau species targeted by Hsp70 remain unknown. This is

Dietary RSO supplementation improved growth performance, simultaneously enriched n‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n‐3 PUFA), and enhanced antioxidant capacity in Pekin ducks, which suggested that RSO has the potential to be a novel n‐3 PUFA source and an antioxidant for Pekin ducks to generate animal functional foods.

Immunoregulatory properties of Hsp70
Heat shock proteins 70 (Hsp70) play an important role in maintaining cellular homeostasis. As molecular chaperones, Hsp70 are responsible for proper folding of newly synthesized polypeptides and refolding of misfolded and aggregated proteins. Hsp70 are involved in cellular transport and participate in signal transduction processes.
