Milk-Borne Transmission of Human T-Cell Lymphotropic Virus Type I (HTLV-I) and Its Intervention in Nagasaki [PDF]
Summary Human T-cell lymphotropic virus type I (HTLV-I), a causative virus of adult T-cell leukemia (ATL), transmits through both horizontal and vertical pathways. Since ATL develops in only carriers infected early in life, vertical transmission cycle is

Dolutegravir use is related to lower HTLV-1 proviral load in people co-infected by HIV-1
Background Infection by human T-cell lymphotropic virus type 1 (HTLV-1) affects millions of people worldwide and causes severe diseases. To date, no specific treatment is available for HTLV infection. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact

[HTLV-I AND HTLV-II in Spain].
Up to October 1994, twenty-four HTLV-I and 113 HTLV-II infected persons have been identified in Spain. A third of HTLV-I carriers were immigrants coming from endemic regions. In contrast, most HTLV-II-infected persons were Spanish native drug users. Four cases of HTLV-I-associated myelopathy (TSP) were found, and three patients suffered lymphoma (ATL).
