A highly stretchable and self-healing hydroxy-terminated polybutadiene elastomer
The damage such as microcracks limits the application of hydroxy-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) elastomer. Here, hydroxy-carboxy-terminated polybutadiene (HCTPB) and Fe3+ selected to facilitate ionic bonds (COO−⋯Fe3+) formation is proposed as a ...

Study of physico-chemical properties of raw materials for solid propellant
In the study of the physicochemical properties of low molecular weight polybutadiene rubber with functional hydroxyl groups (Hydroxyl Terminated Poly Butadien – HTPB), which is a raw material for solid rocket fuel (SRP), an experimental batch of rubber ...

Mechanical properties of HTPB-IPDI-based elastomers
A polyurethane elastomer having mechanical and adhesive properties suit- able for liner applications in solid rocket propellants was developed using HTPB as the prepolymer and IPDI as the curing agent. The effects of the NCO/OH ratio (R value) and the triol/diol ratio on the mechanical properties of the polyurethane matrix were investigated.

Burning Properties of Uncured HTPB Propellant
ABSTRACT In this study, we examined the burning rate of the uncured pr opellant (with and without a curing agent application) in order to inspect the process of the HTPB solid propellant. The burning rate of the uncured propellant, that did not contain the curing agent, was approximately 9.7 mm/s at 1000 psi. In relation to the curing time, the burning

A yeast two-hybrid screen reveals a strong interaction between the Legionella chaperonin Hsp60 and the host cell small heat shock protein Hsp10 [PDF]
L. pneumophila is an intracellular bacterium that replicates inside a membrane-bound vacuole called Legionella-containing vacuole (LCV), where it plentifully liberates its HtpB chaperonin.

Solid propellants: AP/HTPB composite propellants
AbstractIn this article we mainly discuss about AP/HTPB composite solid propellants. Classification, components, properties, burning rate and ignition behavior of propellants are mentioned here. Combustion of AP monopropellant, HTPB and AP/HTPB is discussed in detail.
