An interactive motion-editing method for human animation

International Journal of Computer Applications in Technology, 2010
This paper presents an interactive motion-editing method for human animation. Through sketches, users are able to create a 3D skeleton model without any constraints. Then motion retargeting is used to adapt the original motion to the model obtained from the sketches.

Horse Paleogenomes and Human–Animal Interactions in Prehistory

Trends in Genetics, 2019
A new analysis of paleogenomic data from 278 ancient horses (Fages et al. Cellhttp://doi.org/10.1016/j.cell.2019.03.049) finds that this animal - crucially important to many ancient and contemporary human societies for subsistence, transportation, conflict, and more - was domesticated in at least two different regions, but with the geographic and ...

Disease and Human/Animal Interactions

Annual Review of Anthropology, 2016
Understanding pathogen exchange among human, wildlife, and livestock populations, and the varying ecological and cultural contexts in which this exchange takes place, is a major challenge. The present review contextualizes the risk factors that result from human interactions with livestock, companion animals, animal exhibits, wildlife through nature ...

Human–Animal Interaction Analysis

2019
At some level, animal-assisted intervention (AAI) involves humans interacting with animals. However, it is unknown which kinds of interactions occur between humans and animals during interventions and which interactions, if any, elicit specific outcomes.

Human-Animal Analogy in Human-Robot Interaction

2016
This paper focuses on the concept of the human being and anthropomorphism developed in Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) research. The underlying assumption is that robot users are often viewed as organisms who respond ‘automatically’ to anthropomorphic cues provided by the robotic systems rather than assign meanings to the robot's ...

Human-Animal Interactions and the “Carrier Wave”

2020
Although animal-human interactions are not the main topic of this book, some examples can illustrate a number of important points about Bateson’s concept of relational communication. The chapter mentions the famous performing horse Clever Hans; work on horses (and mathematics students) by the pioneering and neglected theorist of education Gertrude ...
