Osteogenic properties of human dental pulp stem cells.

Journal of biological regulators and homeostatic agents, 2010
Stem cells are a promising tool for bone tissue regeneration. Dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) can be easily obtained even in human young adults. In this study we investigated the capability of DPSCs, to express the osteoblastic phenotype when cultured with osteogenic medium. DPSCs isolated from the dental pulp of impacted third molar teeth were cultured

Neurogenic differentiation of human dental pulp stem cells by optogenetics stimulation

Journal of Chemical Neuroanatomy, 2020
Human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs), a promising source for autologous transplantation in regenerative medicine, have been shown to be able to differentiate into neural precursors. Optogenetics is considered as an advanced biological technique in neuroscience which is able to control the activity of genetically modified stem cells by light.

Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells: Applications in Future Regenerative Medicine

open access: yesWorld Journal of Stem Cells, 2015
Stem cells are pluripotent cells, having a property of differentiating into various types of cells of human body. Several studies have developed mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from various human tissues, peripheral blood and body fluids. These cells are then characterized by cellular and molecular markers to understand their specific phenotypes.

Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells. A promising epithelial-like cell source

Medical Hypotheses, 2015
Several models of tissue-engineered human skin based on three-dimensional (3D) co-culture techniques have been proposed to the date. However, normal skin biopsies are not always available, especially in patients with a high percentage of skin affected by deep burning, and the generation of large amounts of cultured keratinocytes may take very long time,

Identification, Isolation, Characterization, and Banking of Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells

2012
Dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) can be found within the "cell rich zone" of the dental pulp. Their embryonic origin, from neural crests, explains their multipotency. Up to now, it has been demonstrated that these cells are capable of producing bone tissue, both in vitro and in vivo, as well as a simil-dentin tissue, in vitro.

A Cell-permeable Fusion Protein for the Mineralization of Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells

Journal of Dental Research, 2011
Human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) are the only mesenchymal stem cells in pulp tissue that can differentiate into osteoblasts, odontoblasts, and adipose cells. The transcriptional co-activator with PDZ-binding motif (TAZ) protein has been reported to modulate osteogenic differentiation in mouse MSCs.

Dental Tissue Engineering of EMPs on Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells

2016 Eighth International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation (ICMTMA), 2016
The aim of this study was to isolate and characteristics human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) derived from human third molar pulp. Another aim was to verify the expression with dentin sialoprotein (DSPP), dentin sialoprotein (DSP), dentin matrixprotein 1 (DMP-1) and vimentin.

[Identification and isolation of human dental pulp stem cells].

Zhonghua kou qiang yi xue za zhi = Zhonghua kouqiang yixue zazhi = Chinese journal of stomatology, 2009
To isolate and cultivate human dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs).Pulp tissue was removed from healthy young human teeth extracted for orthodontic purposes. The pulp was digested by Type I collagenase and dispase. Then single-cell suspensions were obtained by filter and cultivated. The clones were identified by expression of STRO-1. Under the conditions of

A Method to Isolate and Culture Expand Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells

2011
Dentinal repair in teeth occurs through the activity of specialized cells known as odontoblasts that are thought to be maintained by a precursor population associated with the perivascular cells within dental pulp tissue. We have previously isolated candidate dental pulp stem cells (DPSC) from adult human third molars, with the ability to generate ...

Isolation and Characterization of Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells Derived from Dental Pulp of Permanent Teeth

Dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) are a promising alternative to the source of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), as they are readily available in minimally invasive procedures compared to more invasive methods associated with harvesting other MSCs sources. Despite the encouraging pre-clinical outcomes in animal disease models, culture-expanding procedures ...
