Association of Tenofovir Use With Risk of Incident Heart Failure in HIV‐Infected Patients [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease, 2017
BackgroundThe antiretroviral medication, tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF), is used by most human immunodeficiency virus–infected persons in the United States despite higher risks of chronic kidney disease.

Inflammation in Human Heart Failure: Major Mediators and Therapeutic Targets

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2021
Inflammation has been recognized as a major pathophysiological contributor to the entire spectrum of human heart failure (HF), including HF with reduced ejection fraction, HF with preserved ejection fraction, acute HF and cardiogenic shock. Nevertheless,

Human Factors Considerations and Metrics in Shared Space Human-Robot Collaboration: A Systematic Review

open access: yesFrontiers in Robotics and AI, 2022
The degree of successful human-robot collaboration is dependent on the joint consideration of robot factors (RF) and human factors (HF). Depending on the state of the operator, a change in a robot factor, such as the behavior or level of autonomy, can be

Genetic polymorphism of human factor H (HF,β1H globulin) in Chinese han population in northeast China [PDF]

open access: yesJapanese journal of human genetics, 1992
The distribution of human factor H of serum phenotypes were studied using ultrathin polyacrylamide gel isoelectric focusing (PAGIEF) and subsequent immunoblotting techniques in 203 Chinese of Han population in Liaoning Province of northeast China. The gene frequencies of HF*A and HF*B were 0.4828 and 0.5172, respectively.

Separation of Plasma Thromboplastin Antecedent (PTA) and Hageman Factor (HF) from Human Plasma.

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1960
Summary1) Hageman factor and plasma thromboplastin antecedent have been separated from human plasma and each other by ion exchange chromatography. 2) The defect in “exhausted plasma” is not corrected by purified PTA, purified HF, or a combination of the two.

Connective tissue growth factor dependent collagen gene expression induced by MAS agonist AR234960 in human cardiac fibroblasts. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
Perspectives on whether the functions of MAS, a G protein-coupled receptor, are beneficial or deleterious in the heart remain controversial. MAS gene knockout reduces coronary vasodilatation leading to ischemic injury.

Role of Toll-like receptors and interferon regulatory factors in different experimental heart failure models of diverse etiology: IRF7 as novel cardiovascular stress-inducible factor. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
Heart failure (HF) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the western world. Although optimal medical care and treatment is widely available, the prognosis of patients with HF is still poor. Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are important compartments

Economic assessment of the control of human-factor impact on faults of technical facilities in railway-transport technological processes

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
In the present paper, we substantiate the necessity of control and economic assessment of the human-factor (HF) impact on faults of technical facilities in railway-transport technological processes.

THE IMPACT OF AGE-RELATED SARCOPENIA ON SURVIVAL AND MORTALITY IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC HEART FAILURE [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of IMAB, 2022
There is an increasing HF population resulting from the higher number of MI survivors and the widespread presence of diabetes, hypertension, CHD (Chronic Heart Filure), obesity and other chronic conditions.

Human Factor Considerations in Virtual Reality: Adequate or Inadequate?

open access: yesErgonomics International Journal, 2021
Despite the continued progress in human factor (HF) considerations in virtual reality (VR), health and safety issues persist in VR applications, especially in fully immersive VR.
