The concept of “green” vessels explores naturally derived tubular structures from three decellularized plants—Water Spinach, Green Onion, and Water Horsetail—as innovative alternatives for vessel models and vascular grafts. Microstructural and mechanical testing reveal the promising suturability and mechanical properties of Water Spinach.

Direct Visualization of Antigen-specific CD8+T Cells during the Primary Immune Response to Epstein-Barr Virus In Vivo [PDF]
Primary infection with virus can stimulate a vigorous cytotoxic T cell response. The magnitude of the antigen-specific component versus the bystander component of a primary T cell response remains controversial.

Achieving Optimal Health With Host‐Directed Therapies (HDTs) in Infectious Diseases—A New Horizon
Host‐directed therapies (HDTs) represent a transformative approach in infectious disease management by targeting host factors to enhance immune responses and inhibit viral replication. This innovative strategy leverages advanced genomics and gene editing technologies, offering promising avenues for improved patient outcomes and a new horizon in ...

This study provides proof‐of‐concept evidence showing that through direct killing, antigen presentation, and competitively binding to BTN3A1, Vγ9Vδ2 T cells amplified from cervical cancer (CC) patients can synergize with αβ T cells to exert anti‐CC function both in vitro and in vivo.

Computer-assisted vaccine design [PDF]
We define a new parameter to quantify the antigenic distance between two H3N2 influenza strains: we use this parameter to measure antigenic distance between circulating H3N2 strains and the closest vaccine component of the influenza vaccine. For the data between 1971 and 2004, the measure of antigenic distance correlates better with efficacy in humans ...

Phenotype Frequencies of Autosomal Minor Histocompatibility Antigens Display Significant Differences among Populations [PDF]
Minor histocompatibility (H) antigens are allogeneic target molecules having significant roles in alloimmune responses after human leukocyte antigen–matched solid organ and stem cell transplantation (SCT).

This study discovers that SIRT1, a hub gene involved in glucolipid metabolic conversion in colorectal carcinoma (CRC), stimulates CX3CL1 secretion in CRC cells by activating FOXO1. The CX3CL1‐CX3CR1 signaling promotes the differentiation of TCF7+ regulatory T cells (Tregs) into an enhanced immunosuppressive TNFRSF9+ Treg phenotype.
