Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Foreigners to human nature [PDF]
Is there a relation between wealth and human nature? Can the Delphic maxim "know thyself” (γνῶθι σεαυτὸν) help us decide whether or not to be affluent and wealthy? And if so: how rich? Human beings, says Aristotle, can only use and benefit from a limited

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Human nature and the nature itself: natural and social aspects of the human nature
This paper offers a historical contribution for understanding of the relationship between nature and culture, based on an analysis of a highly influential text of the European philosophical tradition, About the Ends of Goods and Evils of Cicero. Human morality has three different roots on the Ciceronian pages: 1) a human can be an animal – a part of ...

Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status
