Designer Solid Self‐Emulsifying Nanovaccines Enable Dual Modulation of Dendritic Cells and T Cells for Potent Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A solid self‐emulsifying (SSE) platform is loaded with peptide antigens and CpG to form the SSE vaccine. An ApoE‐enriched corona promotes dendritic cell internalization, enabling antigen presentation and T cell activation. Squalene from the SSE also sensitizes T cells by promoting lipid raft formation.

Behavior of natural and humoral immunity in hypertension

open access: yesActa Médica del Centro, 2013
The changes that occur in response to stress are divided into “central adaptations” and “peripheral adaptations”. Within the latter there are the changes in the cardiovascular system (increased pulse and blood pressure), which are not sufficient in the ...

The nutrient-sensing Rag-GTPase complex in B cells controls humoral immunity via TFEB/TFE3-dependent mitochondrial fitness

open access: yesNature Communications
Germinal center (GC) formation, which is an integrant part of humoral immunity, involves energy-consuming metabolic reprogramming. Rag-GTPases are known to signal amino acid availability to cellular pathways that regulate nutrient distribution such as ...

Humoral immunity in Hansen's Disease

open access: yesSão Paulo Medical Journal
For many years immune response in leprosy has been studied. Since 1960 several reports dealing with humoral immunity have been described in the literature. Different autoantibody rates occur in leprosy.

A Rationally Engineered Spleen‐Tropic One‐Component Lipid‐mRNA Complex (OncoLRC) for Cancer Vaccines

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
OncoLRC, a one‐component lipid‐mRNA complex, enables efficient spleen‐targeted delivery at an exceptionally low lipid‐to‐mRNA mass ratio (1.5:1), robustly activates immune responses, inhibits tumor growth, and synergizes with checkpoint blockade, presenting a next‐generation platform for mRNA vaccines.

Polysaccharide of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMK) Relieves Immunosuppression in Cyclophosphamide-Treated Geese by Maintaining a Humoral and Cellular Immune Balance

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
Polysaccharide of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMK) has been well recognized as an immune enhancer that can promote lymphocyte proliferation and activate immune cells.

The influence of season, photoperiod, and pineal melatonin on immune function. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
In addition to the well-documented seasonal cycles of mating and birth, there are also significant seasonal cycles of illness and death among many animal populations.

Pre‐Existing Th1 Immunity Outperforms Age in Predicting Antibody Responses to SARS‐CoV‐2 Inactivated Vaccines

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Challenging the focus on age, this study finds pre‐existing T helper 1 cells are the key biomarker for predicting antibody response to SARS‐CoV‐2 inactivated vaccines. In both mice and humans, high responders exhibited elevated baseline T helper 1 cells, which correlated with robust humoral immunity, offering crucial guidance for improving vaccine ...

The effect of abrupt weaning of suckler calves on the plasma concentrations of cortisol, catecholamines, leukocyte, acute-phase proteins and in vitro interferon-gamma production [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
End of project reportThe objective of this study was to examine the effect of abrupt weaning (inclusive of social group disruption and maternal separation) on the physiological mediators of stress and measures of immune function. Thirty-eight male and 38
