p53 Deficiency in Colon Cancer Cells Promotes Tumor Progression Through the Modulation of Meflin in Fibroblasts

TP53 deficiency in colon cancer cells suppresses Meflin expression in fibroblasts and promotes fibroblast‐mediated tumor growth. Suppression of Meflin expression could transform normal fibroblasts into ones exhibiting a CAF‐like phenotype, promoting colon cancer cell growth.
