Therapeutic Antibodies for Mosquito‐Borne Orthoflavivirus Infections: Discovery, Engineering Approaches, and Advances in mRNA‐Based Delivery Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, EarlyView.
This review explores how antibody engineering and display technologies are driving therapeutic advances against mosquito‐borne orthoflaviviruses such as Zika, dengue, and yellow fever viruses. It highlights diverse neutralizing targets on the envelope protein, including the conserved fusion loop, and discusses how Fc engineering, rational antigen ...

Seasonal variations in cellular and humoral immunity in male striped hamsters (Cricetulus barabensis)

open access: yesBiology Open, 2018
Animals in the non-tropical zone usually demonstrate seasonal variations in immune function, which is important for their survival. In the present study, seasonal changes in immunity in striped hamsters (Cricetulus barabensis) were investigated to test ...

Corticosterone selectively decreases humoral immunity in female eiders during incubation

open access: yes, 2007
Immunity is hypothesized to share limited resources with other physiological functions and this may partly account for the fitness costs of reproduction.

Neutrophil Extracellular Trap Reprograms Cancer Metabolism to Form a Metastatic Niche Promoting Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer Brain Metastasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study mainly combines spatial/single‐cell transcriptomics and metabolomics to reveal LOX+ Malig‐5 as NSCLC brain metastasis‐initiating cells, forming a niche with NET‐releasing neutrophils via the NET‐KRT10 axis. The metastatic niche is involved with metabolic reprogramming, with palmitic acid serving as a key metabolite.

Immunological and Physiological Differences Between Layer- and Broiler Chickens after Concurrent Intratracheal Administration of Lipopolysaccharide and Human Serum Albumin [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Layers and broilers were concurrently intratracheally challenged with 0.5 mg Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and 0.1 mg Human Serum Albumin (HuSA) at 3 weeks of age.

Polysaccharide Adjuvants as Innate Immune Trainers: Bridging Pattern Recognition Receptor (PRR) Activation and Metabolic Reprogramming for Synthetic Vaccine Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Polysaccharides modulate immune responses by engaging pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) to induce T‐cell activation. In vaccine design, their particle size critically influences lymph node targeting and activation mechanisms. By engineering structural complexity and multivalent PRR engagement, polysaccharides enable precise modulation of immune ...

INFLUENCE OF COLURIA GEOIDES (ROSACEAE) BAC ON HUMORAL IMMUNE RESPONCE

open access: yesФармация и фармакология (Пятигорск), 2015
The article presents the results of immunocorrecting properties of dry extract fractions of C. geoides (Rosaceae) for experimental immunodeficiency. Since the BAC fractions action relinquishes to the action of integral extract, the isolation of active ...

Screening of endocrine organ-specific humoral autoimmunity in 47,XXY Klinefelter's syndrome reveals a significant increase in diabetes-specific immunoreactivity in comparison with healthy control men. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The aim of this study was to evaluate the frequency of humoral endocrine organ-specific autoimmunity in 47,XXY Klinefelter’s syndrome (KS) by investigating the autoantibody profile specific to type 1 diabetes (T1DM), Addison’s disease (AD), Hashimoto ...

Single‐Cell Dissection Reveals Immune Dysregulation After CD5 or CD7‐Directed Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell RNA/TCR/BCR sequencing reveals that 5CAR therapy in T‐ALL induces T‐cell exhaustion, reduces EBV‐associated TCRs, lowers TCR/BCR diversity, and increases NK/DC/monocyte activation and function. In contrast, 7CAR therapy reduces multiple pathogen‐associated TCRs, enhances NK cell activation and function, decreases monocyte activation, and ...

Wise Blood: The Principle of Overcoming in Disease and Immunity (Part 1) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The immune system is an intelligently made system designed for interaction with microbes even in a perfect world; it is more than a defense. However, in a post-fall world, it is primarily a body’s defense system.
