Poetics of Humour and Translation
2019This chapter reviews aspects of the narrative environment of comics that can help observe and assess humour translation. As is shown, visual and/or verbal motifs convey the comic artists’ intentions to create comic suspense, comic surprise and comic characterisation, all in the service of a comic tone.
