Gynogenesis in Persian sturgeon (Acipenser persicus) and beluga (Huso huso)

open access: yes, 2010
The objective of the present study was to determine the possible production of Persian sturgeon (Acipenser persicus) and Beluga (Huso huso) gynogen/triploids and also to determine the most appropriate type of thermal shock and the duration of induced shock after fertilization.

EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT LEVELS OF DAPHNIA AND ARTEMIA EXTRACTS ON FOOD ACCEPTABILITY AND GROWTH FACTOR RATES OF BELUGA (HUSO HUSO LINNAEUS, 1758)

open access: yes‬‭Majallah-i ̒Ilmī-i Shīlāt-i Īrān, 2008
In a 30 day feeding trial, daphnia and Artemia extracts were added to diets of juvenile Beluga (Huso huso) at different levels to evaluate its effects on growth and survival rate of the fish.

A comparative study of alive and dead eleutheroembryo of Beluga (Huso huso) shape (5DPH) using geometric Beluga (Huso huso) shape (5DPH) using geometric

open access: yes‬‭Majallah-i ̒Ilmī-i Shīlāt-i Īrān, 2013
High mortality of beluga prelarvae (Huso huso) occurs in hatcheries and this appears to be linked to various abnormalities. Hence, this study was conducted to compare the body shape of alive and dead beluga prelarvae (5DPH) and to find the patterns of deformities among losses using geometric morphometric method. This method was applied to extract shape

Determination of the best stocking density for rearing Huso huso

open access: yes, 2006
Effects of stocking density on growth, food conversion ratio, specific growth rate, percentage of body weight increase in Huso huso were studied in two phases. Juveniles below one year old with an average weight of 92.09±1.72 grams and stocking densities of 1.6, 2.8 and 4 kg/m^2 in 3 replicates for 100 days were reared as the phase one group.
