Comparative study of adenosine 3′‐pyrophosphokinase domains of MuF polymorphic toxins
With the ultimate goal of understanding the association of toxin‐immunity modules to temperate phages, we characterized toxins from three prophages and examined cross‐protection from immunity proteins. The toxins exhibit adenosine 3′‐pyrophosphokinase activity and are toxic in Escherichia coli.

We review the status of hybrid baryons. The only known way to study hybrids rigorously is via excited adiabatic potentials. Hybrids can be modelled by both the bag and flux-tube models. The low-lying hybrid baryon is N 1/2^+ with a mass of 1.5-1.8 GeV. Hybrid baryons can be produced in the glue-rich processes of diffractive gamma N and pi N production,

The brown planthopper (BPH), Nilaparvata lugens Stål, is one of the major pests of rice. It uses its stylet to penetrate rice phloem, feeding on rice sap and causing direct damage to rice or even plant death.

Cohen Macaulay Hybrid Graphs [PDF]
We introduce a new family of graphs, namely, hybrid graphs. There are infinitely many hybrid graphs associated to a single graph. We show that every hybrid graph associated to a given graph is Cohen Macaulay. Furthermore, we show that every CohenMacaulay chordal graph is a hybrid graph.

Thermal Sight: A Position‐Sensitive Detector for a Pinpoint Heat Spot
Precise positioning is a never‐ending goal in both fundamental science and technology. Recent decades of advancements in high‐precision position detection have predominantly relied on photoelectric effects for light detection in semiconductors. Herein, a

Algebraic semantics for hybrid logics [PDF]
We introduce hybrid algebras as algebraic semantics for hybrid languages with nominals and, possibly, the satisfaction operator. We establish a duality between hybrid algebras and the descriptive two-sorted general frames of Ten Cate. We show that all axiomatic extensions of the basic hybrid logics, with or without the satisfaction operator, are ...
