Two-bit hybrid beamforming for broadcasting

Energy-Efficient Hybrid-RAM with Hybrid Bit-Serial based VMM Support

This work presents HRAM, a SRAM-based hybrid memory bit-cell for energy-efficient in-memory computing purpose. The HRAM bit-cell consists of conventional 6T-SRAM for static data storage, and extra one accessing transistor and capacitor for caching data temporarily then conduct the computation within the HRAM array.

A comparative study of hybrid bit over roller cone and PDC bits

Early hybrid drilling concepts date back to the 1930s, but the development of a viable drilling tool has only become feasible with recent advances in Polycrystalline Diamond Compact (PDC) cutter technology. This paper proposes a hybrid DCT/quadtree coding technique to compress motion compensated difference (MCD) images for video conferencing applications. The hybrid scheme is developed primarily to eliminate the visually annoying "corona" effect caused by the traditional DCT coding of subimage blocks containing edge components.

An energy-efficient accelerator for hybrid bit-width DNNs

This paper proposed an energy-efficient accelerator for hybrid bit-width DNNs. To speedup the DNNs and make it energy-efficient, we first propose a hybrid bit-width compression method that can save the memory storage of the state-of-the-art network LeNet and AlexNet by 7x and 8x with negligible accuracy loss.

Hybrid harmonic coding of speech at low bit-rates

Abstract This paper presents a novel approach to sinusoidal coding of speech which avoids the use of a voicing detector. The proposed model represents the speech signal as a sum of sinusoids and bandpass random signals and it is denoted hybrid harmonic model in this paper.
