EMT‐associated bias in the Parsortix® system observed with pancreatic cancer cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The Parsortix® system was tested for CTC enrichment using pancreatic cancer cell lines with different EMT phenotypes. Spike‐in experiments showed lower recovery of mesenchymal‐like cells. This was confirmed with an EMT‐inducible breast cancer cell line.

Effect of strong wakes on waves in two-dimensional plasma crystals

open access: yes, 2013
We study effects of the particle-wake interactions on the dispersion and polarization of dust lattice wave modes in two-dimensional plasma crystals. Most notably, the wake-induced coupling between the modes causes the branches to "attract" each other ...

Tumor clusters with divergent inflammation and human retroelement expression determine the clinical outcome of patients with serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Analysis of treatment‐naïve high‐grade serous ovarian carcinoma (HGSOC) and control tissues for ERVs, LINE‐1 (L1), inflammation, and immune checkpoints identified five clusters with diverse patient recurrence‐free survivals. An inflammation score was calculated and correlated with retroelement expression, where one novel cluster (Triple‐I) with high ...

On the Required Number of Antennas in a Point-to-Point Large-but-Finite MIMO System: Outage-Limited Scenario

open access: yes, 2015
This paper investigates the performance of the point-to-point multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) systems in the presence of a large but finite numbers of antennas at the transmitters and/or receivers.

Differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cells and their hybrids during embryoid body formation

open access: yesGenetics and Molecular Biology, 2002
We studied the karyotypes of three hybrid clones of mouse embryonic stem cells and murine splenocytes (two having near diploid and one having near tetraploid chromosome numbers) and the characteristics of their differentiation during the formation of ...

Two-stage hybrid algorithm for recognition of industrial slab numbers with data quality improvement

open access: yesComplex & Intelligent Systems, 2022
As the unique recognition of each slab, the accurate recognition of slab number is especially critical for the hot rolling production process. However, the collected data are often of low quality due to poor production environment conditions, making ...

On homogeneous multiplicative hybrid problems in number theory [PDF]

open access: yesActa Arithmetica, 1988
By a theorem of \textit{F. Behrend} [J. Lond. Math. Soc. 10, 42-44 (1935; Zbl 0012.05203)] the equation (*) \(a'/a=b\), \(a\in {\mathcal A}\), a'\(\in {\mathcal A}\), \(b\in {\mathcal B}\) can be solved if \({\mathcal A}\) is any set of positive integers satisfying a certain density condition and \({\mathcal B}\) is the set of all positive integers.
