Development of 4T1 breast cancer mouse model system for preclinical carbonic anhydrase IX studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX) is a well‐recognised therapeutic target and prognostic biomarker in cancer. We developed and characterised a robust murine breast cancer model system that is suitable for CAIX studies in vitro and in vivo—it comprises both CAIX‐positive and CAIX‐negative controls and provides a solid platform for the comprehensive ...

Optimal Probing Patterns for Sequencing by Hybridization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Sequencing by Hybridization (SBH) is a method for reconstructing a DNA sequence based on its k-mer content. This content, called the spectrum of the sequence, can be obtained from hybridization with a universal DNA chip. The main shortcoming of SBH is that it reliably reconstructs only sequences of length at most square root of the size of the chip ...

Liver‐specific lncRNAs associated with liver cancers

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are regulatory molecules with various functions. They are more tissue‐specific than proteins and can be used as potential biomarkers, particularly in cancer diagnostics and prognosis. In this review, we have systematically compiled all lncRNAs with exclusive expression in the human liver, verified their liver specificity ...

Development of a physical model-based algorithm for the detection of single-nucleotide substitutions by using tiling microarrays.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
High-density DNA microarrays are useful tools for analyzing sequence changes in DNA samples. Although microarray analysis provides informative signals from a large number of probes, the analysis and interpretation of these signals have certain inherent ...

Probe‐compensated fast hybrid antenna testing

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, 2017
Near‐field (NF) measurements with NF‐to‐far‐field (FF) transformation are a powerful and standard approach to modern antenna measurements. This approach implies a relatively close distance between device under test (DUT) and probe and, since the latter is rarely an ideal probe, it will introduce effects that have to be removed to obtain a FF which is ...

Actin dynamics controlled by IqgC, a RasGAP at the crossroads between the IQGAP and fungal GAP1 families

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
IqgC is a RasGAP from Dictyostelium discoideum. IqgC binds RasG via its RasGAP domain and deactivates it on macroendocytic cups, thereby suppressing the uptake of fluid and particles. IqgC has a positive effect on cell‐substratum adhesion, and its RGCt domain is required for recruitment to ventral foci.
