Atomic Hydrogen Production from Semi-clathrate Hydrates

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2012
Atomic hydrogen has received recent attention because of its potential role in energy devices, silicon devices, artificial photosynthesis, hydrogen storage, and so forth. Here, we propose a highly efficient route for producing atomic hydrogen using semi-clathrate hydrates.

Hydration of Nitrosylruthenium Bis(alkynyl) Complexes with Hydrotris(pyrazolyl)borate:  Insertion/Hydration and Double Hydration Products

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2004
Hydration of nitrosylruthenium bis(alkynyl) complex TpRu(CCPh)2(NO) (1) (Tp = BH(pyrazol-1-yl)3) was carried out in the presence of HBF4.Et2O in distilled MeOH and afforded the metallacycle TpRu{CH=C(Ph)C(O)CH(Ph)}(NO) (2) (39%) and the bis(ketonyl) TpRu(CH2C(O)Ph)2(NO) (3) (37%). While double hydration of 1 gave 3, 2 was produced through a combination

Hydrated Electron: Production and Role in Photobiology

Science, 1963
Many inorganic anions in aqueous solution either yield the hydrated electron on photolysis or they are strong scavengers. In neutral solution the hydrated electron is a primary photochemical product of aromatic amino acids.

Synthesis of acyloin natural products by Mukaiyama hydration

Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, 2022
The preparation of Co(ii) and Co(iii) SALPN type catalysts for the Mukaiyama hydration of enones, and their application to the synthesis of acyloin natural products is described. An acyloin rearrangement was key to the success of this approach.

Managing Hydrate Formation in Subsea Production

Offshore Technology Conference, 2020
Abstract Quantitative prediction of gas hydrate formation risk is critical for the successful implementation of risk-based approaches to hydrate management in subsea production. Here we use a high pressure, stirred, automated lag-time apparatus and a high pressure acoustic levitator to experimentally obtain smooth probability ...

[Skin hydration and hydrating products].

Annales de dermatologie et de venereologie, 2018
One of the skin's principal functions is to protect the body against its environment by maintaining an effective epidermal barrier, not only against external factors, but also to prevent water loss from the body. Indeed, water homeostasis is vital for the normal physiological functioning of skin.

PRODUCTION STRATEGIES FOR MARINE HYDRATE RESERVOIRS

2016
Large quantities of natural gas hydrate are present in marine sediments along the coastlines of many countries as well as in arctic regions. This research is aimed at assessing production of natural gas from the marine deposits. We had developed a multiphase, multicomponent, thermal, 3D simulator in the past, which can simulate production of hydrates ...

Gas Hydrate Production Testing – Knowledge Gained

Offshore Technology Conference, 2019
Abstract Since their initial discovery in the 1960’s, gas hydrates have been considered to be an important potential source of unconventional natural gas. Significant progress has been made relative to our understanding of the geologic and engineering controls on the ultimate energy potential of gas hydrate; however, more work is ...
