A study of the preparation and characterization of selected complex aluminum hydrides [PDF]

open access: yes, 1976
Complex Aluminum Hydrides. - Complex aluminum hydrides are well known as reducing agents in all areas of chemistry; these species are of the general formula MA1H4 (M = Li, Na, K). There are also six coordinate complex aluminum hydrides of form M3A1H6 (M =

Semiconducting hydrides

open access: yes, 2008
Using first-principles density functional calculations with AlH3, KMgH3, LiMgH3, NaBeH3, NaMgH3, and RbMgH3 as model systems we have analyzed the band structure of hydrides.

Modeling of Hydrogen Atom Adsorption and Diffusion in Ti3Sb Intermetallic Crystal with A15 Cubic Structure

open access: yesSurfaces
For the first time, the adsorption of hydrogen on the (110) surface of the A15 Ti3Sb compound with a cubic structure (Cr3Si type; space group Pm3¯n) for the accumulation of hydrogen H was calculated using the density functional theory method (DFT SGGA ...

A Hydrogen‐Releasing Nanozyme Engineers a Mitochondrial ROS Amplifier for Self‐Sustaining Catalytic Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a RhPd‐H nanozyme that integrates enhanced POD‐mimetic catalytic activity with thermally triggered H2 release. H2 shields and reprograms mitochondria to continuously leak endogenous ·O2−. This dual‐path ROS spatially and temporally disrupts redox homeostasis, inducing persistent oxidative stress for tumor suppression and antitumor immunity,

Orthogonal Design of Competing Deprotonation Process in Cation‐Mediated Ni(OH)2 for Achieving Industrial Level Biomass Electrooxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A Cu‐mediated Ni(OH)2 catalyst with orthogonal activity by precise valence engineering simultaneously accelerates rate‐determining aldehyde C─H activation in HMF oxidation and impedes O─H deprotonation in competing OER. This multi‐functional synergistic catalysis enables FDCA production at industrial‐level current densities without sacrificing FEFDCA ...

Electrochemically Induced Interphase by Complex Hydride Anions in Argyrodite Solid Electrolytes for Stable Lithium Metal All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Complex hydride anion substitution in argyrodite electrolytes has attracted attention for improving interfacial stability, yet the influence of these anions at Li metal interfaces remains unclear. This work shows that electrochemically formed BH4−‐derived interphases enable stable high‐current full‐cell cycling.

CO2‐Assisted Hydrolysis of NaBH4: A Multi‐Function Platform for Enhanced Hydrogen Release, Regeneration of NaBH4, and CO2‐to‐CH4 Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CO2 significantly accelerates hydrogen release from aqueous NaBH4 without metal catalysts, eliminating the need for downstream separation. Ball‐milling the hydrolytic products with Mg regenerates NaBH4 with yields exceeding 76% while simultaneously producing methane.

Advances in highly hydrided palladium

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials
Palladium is a prototypical hydride-forming metal, which can accommodate a large volume of hydrogen through the formation of either interstitial or complex hydrides.

INFLUENCE OF Ti-H HYDRIDES ON INTERATOMIC INTERACTIONS AND ON CHARACTERISTICS OF Ti ALLOYING MEMBRANE ALLOYS BASED ON V-Ni

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов, 2019
Under the conditions of the fast crystallization of melts, the effect of hydrogen on mechanisms of structural transformations in V85Ni15 and V(85-x)TixNi15 alloys was experimentally studied.
