Hydrodynamic Limit for the SSEP with a Slow Membrane [PDF]
In this paper we consider a symmetric simple exclusion process (SSEP) on the $d$-dimensional discrete torus $\mathbb{T}^d_N$ with a spatial non-homogeneity given by a slow membrane. The slow membrane is defined here as the boundary of a smooth simple connected region $Λ$ on the continuous $d$-dimensional torus $\mathbb{T}^d$.

Impact of the numerical solution approach of a plant hydrodynamic model (v0.1) on vegetation dynamics [PDF]
Numerous plant hydrodynamic models have started to be implemented in vegetation dynamics models, reflecting the central role of plant hydraulic traits in driving water, energy, and carbon cycles, as well as plant adaptation to climate change.

Weak Limits of the Quantum Hydrodynamic Model [PDF]
A numerical study of the dispersive limit of the quantum hydrodynamic equations for semiconductors is presented. The solution may develop high frequency oscillations when the scaled Planck constant is small. Numerical evidence is given of the fact that in such cases the solution does not converge to the solution of the formal limit equations.

Metallicity and Spectral Evolution of WASP 39b: The Limited Role of Hydrodynamic Escape
The recent observations on WASP-39 b by JWST have revealed hints of high metallicity within the atmosphere compared to its host star. There are various theories on how these high metallic atmospheres emerge.

Probing the hydrodynamic limit of (super)gravity [PDF]
We study the long-wavelength effective description of two general classes of charged dilatonic (asymptotically flat) black p-branes including D/NS/M-branes in ten and eleven dimensional supergravity. In particular, we consider gravitational brane solutions in a hydrodynamic derivative expansion (to first order) for arbitrary dilaton coupling and for ...

Optimal parameters of elliptical groove gas film face seal with bidirectional rotational characteristics [PDF]
The performance of gas film face seals is substantially affected by the geometric features of the texture on the seal face. To enhance the design of elliptical groove face seals for efficient bidirectional rotation, a comprehensive theoretical analysis ...

Determining Effective Parameters on Hydrodynamic Characteristics of Pulsed Packed Column Using ANOVA Method: Determining Optimum Conditions with Maximum Extraction Efficiency [PDF]
Using nanoparticles can lead to an increase in mass transfer rate in liquid–liquid extraction systems. Increasing the concentration of nanoparticles in liquids results in the deposition of nanoparticles and thus limits its use in extraction systems.
