Abstract Habitat characterization is important to assess fully the niches of different organisms. There is a large knowledge gap regarding habitat use by deep‐sea benthic incirrate octopods, partly due to their assumed preference for hard‐to‐sample rocky substrata. This study uses observations from in situ videos recorded by remotely operated vehicles (

Class, Caste, Gender, and the Materiality of Cement Houses in India
Abstract Recently, large parts of India and the global South have experienced a rapid transformation from mud to cement houses, which has been promoted by governments and cement companies for its positive impacts on household socioeconomic status and gender inequalities. But we know little else about how different communities are participating in house

Three‐dimensional forming of plastic‐coated fibre‐based materials using a thermoforming process
The thermoformability limitations of commercial plastic‐coated paperboards were studied by comparing their results with reference plastics. Thermoformability was assessed using shape conformity, maximum acquired depth, thickness distribution behaviour and damage mechanisms.

Tray forming operation of paperboard: A case study using implicit finite element analysis
Enhanced virtual twin model for simulating the tray forming operation through more precise geometry and material description. Inclusion of the small scale creasing pattern directly in the geometry of the paperboard and resolving the small‐scale wrinkling during simulations hence achieving the proper formed shape matching the reality.

Numerical Simulation on Optimization of Process Parameters for Free Bending of Metal Tubes
Three‐dimensional free bending is a new tube forming technology with continuous variable curvature. In order to improve the forming quality of tube, this paper studies the principle of three‐dimensional free forming system and the numerical calculation of bending moment in detail, and it uses the finite element simulation to model the mechanism in the ...

Optimization of AL6061‐T6 Tube End Forming Process Using Response Surface Method
Tube end closing is a metal forming process that replaces welding processes while closing tubes ends. It depends on deforming a rotating tube using a roller, and therefore, it is also called tube end spinning. The process involves many parameters like contact depth, roller inclination angle, roller diameter, mandrel curvature, and tube rotational speed.
