Micelle-Template Synthesis of Nitrogen-Doped Mesoporous Graphene as an Efficient Metal-Free Electrocatalyst for Hydrogen Production [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Synthesis of mesoporous graphene materials by softlate methods remains a great challenge, owing to the poor self-assembly capability of precursors and the severe agglomeration of graphene nanosheets.

Strategies for Redox Potential Regulation of Organic Molecules in Nonaqueous Redox Flow Batteries

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 5, May 2026.
Nonaqueous organic redox flow batteries (NAORFBs) enable high‐voltage energy storage by utilizing wide electrochemical windows and tunable organic molecules. However, mismatched redox potentials and stability trade‐offs limit their performance.

RESPONSE OF STRAWBERRY PLANTS TO HYDROGEN CYANAMIDE AND POTASSIUM NITRATE APPLICATIONS

open access: yesActa Horticulturae, 1998
Several chemical substances, including hydrogen cyanamide and potassium nitrate, have been used on different plants, such as deciduous fruit trees, to break their dormancy and consequently improve the earliness of the crop. In order to study the effects of hydrogen cyanamide and potassium nitrate on dormancy breaking of strawberry plants, four ...

Sustainable Synthesis of P‐Doped Carbon Nitride From Fertilizer Sources for Enhanced Photocatalysis

open access: yesChemPhotoChem, Volume 10, Issue 5, May 2026.
A new P‐doped carbon nitride was synthesized from the combination of thiourea and (NH4)2HPO4 by a straightforward and mild approach. The final material shows a fourfold higher specific surface area and excellent suppression of charge carrier recombination.

Prebiotic Organic Chemistry of Diketopiperazines

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 15, Issue 4, April 2026.
Diketopiperazines (DKPs) are considered essential in many life forms, but their prebiotic importance has not been fully understood. This review aims to discuss prebiotic organic chemistry for experimentally and computationally simulated reactions involving DKPs. ABSTRACT Even though the significance of amino acids and polypeptides is well recognized in

Hydrogen Cyanamide Induces Budbreak of Peaches and Nectarines Following Inadequate Chilling [PDF]

open access: yesHortScience, 1990
Hydrogen cyanamide (Dormex) treatments were applied to 17 insufficiently chilled peach and nectarine cultivars ≈6 weeks after normal budbreak. Treatment effectively induced vegetative budbreak and reduced shoot dieback. The responses to Dormex treatments were linear, with the 2% rate being more effective than the 0 and 1% rates in most cases.

Biosynthetically‐Inspired Oxidative Cleavage Platform Enables Rapid Access to Diverse and Architecturally Complex Chemotypes From Indole Alkaloids

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 4, April 2026.
We report a biosynthesis‐inspired ring distortion approach that involves oxidative ring cleavage, ring rearrangement, and ring expansion reactions from a diverse collection of indole alkaloids and derivatives. This chemical synthesis approach led to the synthesis of >25 distinct chemotypes from 14 indole alkaloids.
