The omnivorous Tyrolean Iceman: colon contents (meat, cereals, pollen, moss and whipworm) and stable isotope analyses [PDF]
The contents of the colon of the Tyrolean Iceman who lived Ga. 5300 years ago include muscle fibres, cereal remains, a diversity of pollen, and most notably that of the hop hornbeam (Ostrya carpinifolia) retaining cellular contents, as well as a moss ...

This work constructed a tandem W−N−C center to simultaneously achieve the regulation of reaction pathways and optimization of charge separation efficiency. The Lewis‐acidic W6+ sites activated O2 to generate O2−$O_2^ - $, with enhanced charge separation via electronic modulation, steering U(VI) reduction down an efficient radical pathway.

Modeling of hydrogen isotope effect on divertor detachment in EAST
The two-dimensional edge plasma code SOLPS-ITER have been used to study the hydrogen isotope effect on the divertor detachment onset for hydrogen (H), deuterium (D), and tritium (T) based on EAST plasma conditions.

Enhancing Biogenic Formic Acid Production in the Modified OxFA Process by Acetonitrile Addition
In this study, the beneficial effect of using acetonitrile as a co‐solvent in the modified OxFA process is shown, outperforming methanol, demonstrating improved reaction kinetics combined with high selectivity for the HPA‐2 (H5PV2Mo10O40) catalyzed oxidation of xylose to FA.

This study introduces a dual‐regulation strategy utilizing a Mn‐doped Co3O4 support to enhance the activity and stability of low‐loading IrO2 catalysts for acidic water oxidation. Mn induces strong Mn─O covalency to reinforce the spinel lattice and activates Ir sites via interfacial electron transfer.

Stable isotope compositions of pedogenic clay minerals can be used as a paleoclimatic proxy. The underlying fundamental assumption is that pedogenic clays are formed in isotope equilibrium with the environment, which is well-documented for hot and humid ...

The aptamer WHY‐3E identifies PrPC as a CRC driver. Stabilized by USP18, endocytosed PrPC forms a LYN/STAT3 complex, upregulating MSN transcription to promote metastasis. Crucially, WHY‐3E sensitively detects PrPC‐positive circulating exosomes, establishing a robust theoretical foundation for non‐invasive clinical diagnostics.

A Symmetric Cogeneration Fuel Cell for Coupled Production of Hydrogen, Ammonia and Formate
A symmetric cogeneration fuel cell integrating value‐added chemical synthesis with electricity generation by coupling formaldehyde oxidation with the nitrate reduction was developed. This work highlights the broader potential of symmetric cogeneration fuel cells as a general platform for rational reaction pairing, offering a practical pathway to lower ...
