Hydrogen permeation and diffusion in niobium

Metallurgical Transactions A, 1983
High temperature hydrogen permeation experiments were performed on niobium using ultra high vacuum techniques in an attempt to maintain clean specimen surfaces. Diffusivities and permeabilities were measured from 700 K to about 1400 K at hydrogen pressures ranging from 4.26 Pa to about 0.013 Pa.

Hydrogen permeation through tritium permeation barrier in Pb–17Li

Fusion Engineering and Design, 2001
One of the main problems in the development of water cooled lithium lead (WCLL) DEMO fusion reactor is the reduction of the tritium permeation from the Pb–17Li, or the plasma, into the cooling water. The control of tritium losses is an important issue in fusion technology because of its safety and operational implications.

Hydrogen permeation through steels during phosphatizing—II. Effect of phosphate coatings on hydrogen permeation

Corrosion Science, 1971
Abstract Hydrogen permeation through steel during phosphatizing in accelerated and non-accelerated solutions has been investigated using a modified Devanathan cell. It has been established that in an accelerated solution hydrogen permeation is less than in an unaccelerated solution, which is thought to be due to the higher interfacial pH and greater ...
