A classification of hydrogen traps in steel
Metallurgical Transactions A, 1979In a s e r i e s of recen t papers , 1-3 the ways in which hydrogen t rapping by lat t ice defects can affect and cont ro l the na ture , extent and k ine t ics of hydrogen embr i t t l emen t , have been success fu l ly analyzed and modeled. Most impor tant ly , it was shown that a m i c r o s t r uc tu r e cons is t ing of a un i form d i s t r ibu t

The diffusion and trapping of hydrogen in steel
Acta Metallurgica, 1970Abstract The mobility of dissolved hydrogen in an iron lattice having a population of extraordinary, or trapping, sites for hydrogen is analyzed under the assumption of local equilibrium between the mobile and the trapped populations. It is shown that at low coverage of the trapping sites the usual solutions of the diffusion equations can be used to ...

Some Remarks on Hydrogen Trapping
International Journal of Fracture, 2000A model for the pressure-dependent diffusion and accumulation of hydrogen ahead of a decohesive intergranular crack front is developed. In the model, the pressure dependency of the diffusion is incorporated into the activation energy of an Arrhenius form of the material diffusivity along high-diffusivity grain boundaries.

Hydrogen Traps in Tungsten: A Review
Physics of Metals and MetallographyTungsten is currently the most promising material for plasma-facing in FRs. The accumulation of radioactive tritium in tungsten is caused by presence of hydrogen traps in this metal. This paper analyzes literature data on the parameters of hydrogen traps in tungsten.
