Hydrophobic Interactions Involved in Attachment of a Baculovirus to Hydrophobic Surfaces [PDF]
The hydrophobic interactions of Trichoplusia ni nuclear polyhedrosis virus were characterized by hydrophobic interaction chromatography. The determination of the hydrophobic force and some of the factors that influence its size is discussed in relation to the attachment to leaf surfaces of polyhedra during their use

BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Fabrication of Hydrophobic Coatings Using Sugarcane Bagasse Waste Ash as Silica Source
Eco-friendly hydrophobic coatings were fabricated on tiles via the drop-casting process. Sugarcane bagasse waste ash (SBA) was used as a silica source and dimethyldiethoxysilane (DMDEOS) was used as a surface functionalizing agent.

Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

This study explores the feasibility of expressing the antitumoral protein Amblyomin‐X through a suicide gene therapy approach and investigates its intracellular fate after gene delivery. Although the gene is efficiently expressed, melanoma cells rapidly degrade the Amblyomin‐X protein via proteasome activity.

Effect of Thai medicinal plant extracts on cell aggregation of Escherichia coli O157: H7. [PDF]
Medicinal plants have been used for treating diarrhoea but the interference mechanisms are not clearly understood. One possible hypothesis is that of an effect on cell surface hydrophobicity of microbial cells. In this study, we examined cell aggregation
