Derivatization of Methylglyoxal for LC-ESI-MS Analysis—Stability and Relative Sensitivity of Different Derivatives

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
The great research interest in the quantification of reactive carbonyl compounds (RCCs), such as methylglyoxal (MGO) in biological and environmental samples, is reflected by the fact that several publications have described specific strategies to perform

Kinetic Model of Biphasic Character of Catalyse Inhibition

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2003
A mathematical model of kinetics of fungal catalase inhibition with hydroxylamine in presence of substrate (hydrogen peroxide) has been developed. The scheme includes an intermediate formation and slow reversible native enzyme production.

Electrochemical Behavior of a Thio-Quinazoline Derivative Electrodeposited on a Glassy Carbon Electrode Modified with Multi-Wall Carbon Nanotubes: Application for Simultaneous Determination of Hydroxylamine and Nitrite

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2013
In this paper, we report the characteristics of a modified electrode prepared by electrodeposition of anthio-quinazoline derivative on the multi-wall carbon nanotubes modified glassy carbon electrode (QMWCNT-GCE).

Alcaligenes ammonioxydans HO-1 antagonizes Bacillus velezensis via hydroxylamine-triggered population response

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2022
Antagonism is a common behavior seen between microbes in nature. Alcaligenes ammonioxydans HO-1 converts ammonia to nitrogen under aerobic conditions, which leads to the accumulation of extracellular hydroxylamine (HA), providing pronounced growth ...

Pyrite/H2O2/hydroxylamine system for efficient decolorization of rhodamine B

open access: yesWater Science and Technology, 2021
To improve the efficiency of the Fe(II)/Fe(III) cycle and continuous reactivity of pyrite, a pyrite/H2O2/hydroxylamine (HA) system was proposed to treat rhodamine B (RhB).

Nitrate ammonification by Nautilia profundicola AmH: experimental evidence consistent with a free hydroxylamine intermediate.

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2013
The process of nitrate reduction via nitrite controls the fate and bioavailability of mineral nitrogen within ecosystems; i.e. whether it is retained as ammonium (ammonification) or lost as nitrous oxide or dinitrogen (denitrification). Here, we present

Dissolved Nitrous Oxide and Hydroxylamine in the South Yellow Sea and the East China Sea During Early Spring: Distribution, Production, and Emissions

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2021
Coastal marine systems are active regions for the production and emission of nitrous oxide (N2O), a potent greenhouse gas. Due to the inherently high variability in different coastal biogeochemical cycles, the factors and mechanisms regulating coastal ...

Molecular Probes for Evaluation of Oxidative Stress by In Vivo EPR Spectroscopy and Imaging: State-of-the-Art and Limitations

open access: yesMagnetochemistry, 2019
Oxidative stress, defined as a misbalance between the production of reactive oxygen species and the antioxidant defenses of the cell, appears as a critical factor either in the onset or in the etiology of many pathological conditions.

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Crystal structure of (E)-N-{[3-methyl-1-phenyl-5-(1H-pyrrol-1-yl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl]methylidene}hydroxylamine

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2014
The title compound, C15H14N4O, crystallizes with two molecules in the asymmetric unit with similar conformations (r.m.s. overlay fit for the 20 non-H atoms = 0.175 Å).
