Radioimmunoassay of 17-hydroxyprogesterone

Steroids, 1972
Abstract A method is described for the determination of 17-hydroxyprogesterone in peripheral venous plasma (0.1–1.0 ml) from men and women using an antiserum to 17-hydroxyprogesterone-3-carboxymethyl oxime bovine serum albumin (BSA). The coefficients of variation on replicate analyses ranged from 7–16%.

17α-Hydroxyprogesterone in Human Plasma

The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 1971
ABSTRACT A shortened approach to the measurement of 17α-hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP) is described. The extracted plasma sample with 3H indicator is purified by only one paper chromatography. No acetylation step or further chromatography is necessary. Values obtained in males and females are the same as reported by Strott et al.
