Moiré‐Driven Topological Transitions and Extreme Anisotropy in Elastic Metasurfaces
The twist angle between a pair of stacked 2D materials has been recently shown to control remarkable phenomena, including the emergence of flat‐band superconductivity in twisted graphene bilayers, of higher‐order topological phases in twisted moiré ...

Absorption Enhancement in Hyperbolic Metamaterials by Means of Magnetic Plasma
The main features of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) that can propagate in a metamaterial–magnetic plasma structure are studied from theoretical perspectives. Both the conventional and imaginary parts of the dispersion relation of SPPs are demonstrated

Tunable plasmon-phonon polaritons in anisotropic 2D materials on hexagonal boron nitride
Mid-infrared (MIR) plasmon-phonon features of heterostructures composing of a plasmonic anisotropic two-dimensional material (A2DM) on a hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) film are analyzed.

Given a complex space $X$, we cosidered the problem of finding a {\it hyperbolic model} of $X$. This is an object $\ip(X)$ with a morphism $i:X\to \ip(X)$ in such a way that $\ip(X)$ is ``hyperbolic'' in a suitable sense and $i$ is as close as possible to be an isomorphism.

Off-axis representation of hyperbolic mirror shapes for X-ray beamlines
Mirror-centered, closed-form expressions for hyperbolic surfaces used in X-ray beamlines have been derived. Hyperbolic mirrors create a virtual focus or source point and can be used to lengthen or shorten the effective focal distance of a compound ...

We propose a natural scenario for the cosmological inflation with the non-minimal coupling term invoking compact hyperbolic extra dimensions. Thanks to the unique mathematical properties of compact hyperbolic space, the large volume of extra dimensions, which provides a natural understanding of the proper size of couplings, does not necessarily ...

Semi-hyperbolicity and hyperbolicity
This paper is devoted to show several results on semi-hyperbolicity which support the idea that semi-hyperbolicity implies hyperbolicity. One of the main results of the paper establishes that for \(C^1\) diffeomorphisms semi-hyperbolicity of an invariant set implies its hyperbolicity.

Studies of delay discounting typically have involved choices between smaller, immediate outcomes and larger, delayed outcomes. In a study of delay discounting in humans, Green, Myerson, and Macaux (2005) added a period of time prior to both outcomes ...
