Background Death of a caregiver during childhood can have profound influences on child wellbeing and later trajectories. Globally, child and adolescent mental health is an increasing area of concern with widespread negative implications. These data provide the first comprehensive exploration of the mental health of children experiencing COVID‐19 ...

Expert Asymmetry: Evidence From Securities Litigation
ABSTRACT Modern litigation often involves two separate, extra‐legal features: (1) contingency fee arrangements with the plaintiff‐side attorney, and (2) a “battle of the experts” where the outcome of the case rests on conflicting expert witness testimony.

Mixing It Up: Inflation at Risk
Abstract Understanding how risk factors shape the economic outlook is essential for guiding policy decisions. This paper develops a flexible framework that decomposes distributional risk forecasts of macro‐economic variables into underlying contributions and supports the construction of interpretable risk measures.

The Genoeconomics of Impulsive Intertemporal Choice: A Critical Review
Abstract Dr. Warren Bickel tirelessly investigated delay discounting (DD), a behavioral economic index of impulsive decision making, as a determinant of numerous health outcomes. Among the factors that contribute to a person's level of DD, a burgeoning body of research has illuminated its genetic foundations and the extent to which it may be a ...

The metric compactification of a Kobayashi hyperbolic complex manifold and a Denjoy–Wolff theorem
We study the metric compactification of a Kobayashi hyperbolic complex manifold [Formula: see text] equipped with the Kobayashi distance [Formula: see text]. We show that this compactification is genuine[Formula: see text]—[Formula: see text]i.e. [Formula: see text] embeds as a dense open subset[Formula: see text]—[Formula: see text]even without ...

Impact Plasma Amplification of the Ancient Mercury Magnetic Field
Abstract Spacecraft measurements of Mercury indicate that it has a core dynamo with a surface field of 200–800 nT. These data also indicate that the northern hemisphere crust contains remanent magnetization likely produced by an ancient magnetic field. The inferred magnetization intensity is consistent with a wide range of paleofield strengths (0.2–50 ...

Sasa species (Poaceae: Bambusoideae) are generally considered monocarpic mass flowering plants. Although seedling regeneration after small‐scale flowering has been largely overlooked, we demonstrated that some seedlings of Sasa veitchii var. tyugokuensis derived from small‐scale flowering survived for 11 years.

Abstract String theory has strong implications for cosmology, implying the absence of a cosmological constant, ruling out single‐field slow‐roll inflation, and that black holes decay. The origins of these statements are elucidated within the string‐theoretical swampland programme.
