Weakly Hyperbolic Equations — A Modern Field in the Theory of Hyperbolic Equations [PDF]
In the last two decades the theory of weakly hyperbolic equations was developed in gin astonishing way. The goal of the paper is to give new directions which were discussed in recent years. In section 2 the Cauchy problem is discussed for a model quasilinear weakly hyperbolic equation with time and spatial degeneracy.

Twin Crystal Moiré Metasurfaces for Crossing Flat‐Band Transport
This study introduces twin crystal moiré metasurfaces, breaking in‐plane symmetry to enable reconfigurable acoustic wave manipulation. By adjusting the twin angle and interlayer twist angle, various combinations of hyperbolic, flat bands, and elliptic states can be synthesized in the system.

Comparison of high-order methods on unstructured grids [PDF]
A high-order Discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method is formulated and implemented on the Cranfield University’s 3D unstructured Finite Volume Method (FVM) code (UCNS3D), for both linear and non-linear hyperbolic conservation laws and for test-cases which ...

ON GREEN’S FUNCTION OF DARBOUX PROBLEM FOR HYPERBOLIC EQUATION
It is well known that the Darboux problem for the hyperbolic equation is correct, both in the senseof classical and generalized solutions. An integral form of the solution of the Darboux problem ina characteristic triangle for a general two-dimensional ...

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Directional Flow of Confined Polaritons in CrSBr
CrSBr, a layered magnetic semiconductor, naturally channels self‐hybridized excitonpolaritons into highly directional flow. Its intrinsic optical anisotropy, high refractive index, and strong lightmatter coupling enable long‐range guided modes along the a‐axis, with propagation lengths set by their excitonphoton admixture.

Hyperbolic structures on 3-manifolds via volume maximization
L'argomento di questa tesi è il problema di dare una struttura iperbolica (completa e di volume finito) a una 3-varietà. Nel primo capitolo sono richiamati i risultati di geometria iperbolica utilizzati nel seguito.

Lower semicontinuity of attractors for non-autonomous dynamical systems [PDF]
This paper is concerned with the lower semicontinuity of attractors for semilinear non-autonomous differential equations in Banach spaces. We require the unperturbed attractor to be given as the union of unstable manifolds of time-dependent hyperbolic
