Analysis of a conformable generalized geophysical KdV equation with Coriolis effect

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2023
In this manuscript, we study new solutions of generalized version of geophysical KdV equation which is called generalized perturbed KdV (gpKdV) under time–space conformable operator.

Kinetic decomposition for periodic homogenization problems

open access: yes, 2006
We develop an analytical tool which is adept for detecting shapes of oscillatory functions, is useful in decomposing homogenization problems into limit-problems for kinetic equations, and provides an efficient framework for the validation of multi-scale ...

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

The bilinear neural network method for solving Benney–Luke equation

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
Benney–Luke equation, the estimation of water wave propagation on the water’s surface, is significantly important in studying the tension of water waves in physics.

A kinetic eikonal equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We analyse the linear kinetic transport equation with a BGK relaxation operator. We study the large scale hyperbolic limit $(t,x)\to (t/\eps,x/\eps)$. We derive a new type of limiting Hamilton-Jacobi equation, which is analogous to the classical eikonal ...

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Valiron and Abel equations for holomorphic self-maps of the polydisc

open access: yes, 2016
We introduce a notion of hyperbolicity and parabolicity for a holomorphic self-map $f: \Delta^N \to \Delta^N$ of the polydisc which does not admit fixed points in $\Delta^N$.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

The Boundary Value Problem with Stationary Inhomogeneities for a Hyperbolic-Type Equation with a Fractional Derivative

open access: yesAxioms, 2022
The paper presents an analytical solution of a partial differential equation of hyperbolic-type, containing both second-order partial derivatives and fractional derivatives of order below the second.

A dispersive approach to the artificial compressibility approximations of the Navier Stokes equations in 3-D

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper we study how to approximate the Leray weak solutions of the incompressible Navier Stokes equation. In particular we describe an hyperbolic version of the so called artificial compressibility method investigated by J.L.Lions and Temam.
