Study on Stress–Strain Relationship of Coir Fiber-Reinforced Red Clay Based on Duncan–Chang Model
Compared with other natural fibers, coir fiber has good strength characteristics and long-term anti-biodegradation ability. At present, most studies on randomly distributed coir fiber-reinforced soil have focused on cohesionless soil or granular soil. In

Oceanic three-dimensional Lagrangian Coherent Structures: A study of a mesoscale eddy in the Benguela ocean region [PDF]
We study three dimensional oceanic Lagrangian Coherent Structures (LCSs) in the Benguela region, as obtained from an output of the ROMS model. To do that we first compute Finite-Size Lyapunov exponent (FSLE) fields in the region volume, characterizing ...

A Linearly Deformable Pneumatic Scalable Microgripper for Universal Mid‐Air Micromanipulation
This work presents a fully 3D printed soft microgripper capable of active adhesion control through a pneumatic system. Its modular design can reach a high adhesion switching ratio of 373 and free release of micro‐objects at 100 μm$\umu \rm {m}$ dimension.

A unified hyperbolic formulation for viscous fluids and elastoplastic solids
We discuss a unified flow theory which in a single system of hyperbolic partial differential equations (PDEs) can describe the two main branches of continuum mechanics, fluid dynamics, and solid dynamics.

Recent Advances in Decoupling Strategies for Soft Sensors
This review provides an overview of recent advances in decoupling strategies for soft sensors. It summarizes single‐modal sensors that are insensitive to stretching, bending, crosstalk, and other environmental interferences, and highlights emerging multimodal decoupling methods enabled by spatiotemporal information and machine learning.

The equivalent radius $$\:{R}_{eq}$$ has been used for calculation of strain in Resonant Column (RC) testing. Present calculation methods for $$\:{R}_{eq}$$ are not adequate since they are not precise over a wide range of strain.

Monolithic 3D Printing of Origami‐Inspired Soft Robotics from Sustainable Bio‐Based Resin
This work develops a photocurable, bio‐based resin from soybean oil for the monolithic fabrication of sustainable soft robots via Digital Light Processing. An origami‐inspired, vacuum‐actuated soft gripper is designed and fabricated, enabling reliable operation despite the material's lower elongation.
