Axion‐Like Interactions and CFT in Topological Matter, Anomaly Sum Rules and the Faraday Effect
This review investigates the connection between chiral anomalies and their manifestation in topological materials, using both perturbative methods based on ordinary quantum field theory and conformal field theory (CFT). It emphasizes the role of CFT in momentum space for parity‐odd correlation functions, and their reconstruction by the inclusion of a ...

Some Relationships and Properties of the Hypergeometric Distribution [PDF]
The binomial and Poisson distributions have interesting relationships with the beta and gamma distributions, respectively, which involve their cumulative distribution functions and the use of conjugate priors in Bayesian statistics. We briefly discuss these relationships and some properties resulting from them which play an important role in the ...

A deep learning‐based method Siamese transformer reaction pair (STRP) prediction is presented for identifying important pathways in untargeted LC‐MS/MS metabolomics. STRP accurately predicts metabolic reaction pairs from known metabolites and tandem mass spectra of unannotated metabolic features, which enhance the utility of untargeted metabolomics ...

BINOMIAL APPROXIMATION TO THE GENERALIZED HYPERGEOMETRIC DISTRIBUTION
In this paper, we use Stein's method and the w-function associated with the generalized hypergeometric random variable to give a bound for the total variation distance between the binomial and generalized hypergeometric distributions.

Synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonists are being infused on paper and illicitly introduced into prisons through mail correspondence. An approach to quantify and map the synthetic cannabinoid 5F‐ADB on a seized paper sample from a UK prison was determined using ultraperformance liquid chromatography–quadrupole Dalton–mass spectrometry.

Recursion Rules for the Hypergeometric Zeta Functions [PDF]
The hypergeometric zeta function is defined in terms of the zeros of the Kummer function M(a, a + b; z). It is established that this function is an entire function of order 1. The classical factorization theorem of Hadamard gives an expression as an infinite product. This provides linear and quadratic recurrences for the hypergeometric zeta function. A

Here, causal relations are examined between 2940 plasma proteins and 19 cardiovascular diseases (CVD) using a human genetics‐based method. 218 proteins are found whose blood levels influence CVD risks, with about half being new discoveries and largely confirmed in an independent cohort.

Hypergeometric tail inequalities: ending the insanity [PDF]
The hypergeometric distribution is briefly and informally surveyed, including popular notation, symmetries, and the tail inequalities $Pr[i \ge E[i]+tn] \le e^{-2t^2n}$ and $Pr[i \le E[i]-tn] \le e^{-2t^2n}$.

Comprehensive genetic and epigenetic characterization of Lynch‐like syndrome patients
What's New? Lynch‐like syndrome is associated with development of colorectal cancer (CRC) with microsatellite instability and loss of expression of certain mismatch repair (MMR) genes, similar to Lynch syndrome, but unlike Lynch syndrome, the genetic cause of Lynch‐like syndrome (LLS) remains unknown.
