Robustness of Asymptotic Hyperstability

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1987
Abstract The robustness of asymptotic hyperstabiIity for the perturbation caused by parasitic dynamics is analyzed by using the singular perturbation method. Since the strictly positive realness of a transfer function is not robust for such perturbations, it is required that some kind of limitations must be set to the hyperstabiIity problem.

Bissecododecahedraenes, Unusual Hyperstable Olefins

Angewandte Chemie International Edition in English, 1987
As an alternative to the catalytic procedure,"' directed multistep pagodane-dodecahedrane transformations (routes A and/or B/C in Ref. [2]) are a current goal: for example, via the intermediates 2-5 (Fig. 1 ) in the case of the basic skeletons 116. At intermediate 5 , this route converges with Puquette's dodecahedrane synthesis, which was recently ...

Parameter optimized hyperstable controllers

[1991] Proceedings of the 30th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002
A parameterization of hyperstable linear time-invariant controllers is proposed, where the free parameters are to be determined by parameter optimization in order to meet various design requirements of the closed-loop system. The class of hyperstable controllers is of special importance since a control loop with hyperstable controller is guaranteed to ...

Hyperstability and identification

1970 IEEE Symposium on Adaptive Processes (9th) Decision and Control, 1970
This paper considers the process identification by means an adjustable model. An approach to the synthesis of this type of on-line identification system via the hyperstability theory is proposed. Two typical situations for identification are considered (the "ideal case" and the "real case").

Hyperstable arousal regulation in multiple sclerosis

Psychoneuroendocrinology, 2019
Fatigue is common in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. Exhaustion of physiological reserves and mental stress are postulated causes, the latter supported by more pronounced hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis activation in fatigued patients. Divergent dysregulation of arousal appears to play important roles in depression- (hyperstable arousal ...

Hyperstability and average hyperstability conditions for a broad class of gaussian stochastic systems

Information Sciences, 1979
Abstract The author investigates the hyperstability problem for a broad class of single-control stochastic systems which may be considered as disturbed models of given deterministic systems. The stochasticity comes from the control, which is disturbed by an additive Gaussian noise with its own gain.

Hyperstability and adaptive filtering

IEEE Transactions on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1981
Recently, results from the area of system identification concerning the concept of system hyperstability have been applied to the analysis of adaptive filtering configurations. In particular, this analysis tool has allowed the development of a family of convergent adaptive recursive digital filtering algorithms, where the use of conventional gradient ...

Hyperstable Theories*

1996
Abstract Lascar rank is localized to invariant families of types, and some of its properties are proven. Furthermore, the regular type technology is extended to certain stable theories. This is applied to prove Lachlan’s conjecture for those theories, and derive further structural properties.

Rigidity of hyperstable complexes

Archiv der Mathematik, 2008
A module J over a ring \(\bigwedge\) is said to be hyperstable when \(J \cong J \oplus {\bigwedge}^{\infty}\). Over a module M for which Ext\(^{n+1}(M, \bigwedge) = 0\) we show that the projective n-stems \({\mathcal{P}}\) for which \(\pi_n({\mathcal{P}})\) is hyperstable constitute a single homotopy type.

Hyperstable polyphase adaptive IIR filters

1999 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings. ICASSP99 (Cat. No.99CH36258), 1999
This work considers the implementation of recursive identification algorithms based on hyperstability concepts with polyphase structures. It is shown that the strictly positive real (SPR) condition required for convergence of these schemes can always be met by using a sufficiently high polyphase expansion factor M.
