Detail-on-demand hypervideo

Proceedings of the eleventh ACM international conference on Multimedia, 2003
We demonstrate the use of detail-on-demand hypervideo in interactive training and video summarization. Detail-on-demand video allows viewers to watch short video segments and to follow hyperlinks to see additional detail. The player for detail-on-demand video displays keyframes indicating what links are available at each point in the video.

Authoring, viewing, and generating hypervideo

ACM Transactions on Multimedia Computing, Communications, and Applications, 2008
Hyper-Hitchcock consists of three components for creating and viewing a form of interactive video called detail-on-demand video: a hypervideo editor, a hypervideo player, and algorithms for automatically generating hypervideo summaries. Detail-on-demand video is a form of hypervideo that supports one hyperlink at a time for navigating between video ...

Building and using hypervideos

Proceedings Fourth IEEE Workshop on Applications of Computer Vision. WACV'98 (Cat. No.98EX201), 2002
This paper presents the first version of our platform for automatically building the structure of a video sequence. The first application uses semi-automatic tools based only on image analysis for building interactive videos: decomposing the video into shots, extracting and tracking objects within each shot and linking occurrences of similar objects ...

Authoring Hypervideos Learning Objects

2020
The development of hypervideo-based Learning Objects (LOs) is complex and usually requires a multidisciplinary team, e.g., software developers, designers, and content specialists. In such a scenario, it is important to provide easy-to-use and flexible authoring tools that allow teachers create their educational content by themselves.

Description and narrative in hypervideo

Proceedings of the 34th Annual Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, 2005
While hypertext was originally conceived as an approach to the management of scientific and technical information, it has been embraced with great enthusiasm by several members of the literary community for the promises it offers towards new approaches to narrative.

Hypervideo

2009
Hypervideo is the adaptation of the hypertext metaphor to video. By annotating and referencing video objects, diverse media, and pieces of information the video stream can be unlocked to the global web of knowledge. Hypervideo combines the advantages of hypermedia as a dynamic, associative, and extendable network of information that can be shared and ...

Second Screen Hypervideo-Based Physiotherapy Training

Proceedings of the 2016 ACM Workshop on Multimedia for Personal Health and Health Care, 2016
Adapting to personal needs and supporting correct posture are important in physiotherapy training. In this demo, we show a dual screen application (handheld and TV) that allows patients to view hypervideo training programs. Designed to guide their daily exercises, these programs can be adapted to daily needs.

A Hypervideo Model for Learning Objects

Proceedings of the 28th ACM Conference on Hypertext and Social Media, 2017
Learning Objects (LOs) are entities that can be used, reused, or referred during the teaching process. They are commonly embedded into documents that establish spatial and temporal relationships on their contents. Hypervideos LOs allow students to individualize their learning experience with non-linear browsing mechanisms and content adaptation.

A formal approach to hypervideo design

2007 14th International Workshop on Systems, Signals and Image Processing and 6th EURASIP Conference focused on Speech and Image Processing, Multimedia Communications and Services, 2007
This paper presents a formal approach to hypermedia design and implementation. Hypermedia and its synchronization are explained, along with its spatial, temporal and logical aspects. A possible design and implementation of adaptive, interactive, hypermedia educational content related to the course digital systems are presented. The hypermedia documents
