New combinations in Trichoderma (Hypocreaceae , Hypocreales)

open access: yesMycotaxon, 2013
Unitary nomenclature demands the use of a single name for pleomorphic fungi determined according to priority. For this reason combinations in Trichoderma are here provided for 46 species for which such a combination is lacking. Although many more such species are known, only those are included here that are dealt with in more recent papers and where ...

The complete mitochondrial genome of a medicinal fungus, Tolypocladium ophioglossoides

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2017
As part of a genome sequencing project for Tolypocladium ophioglossoides (T. ophioglossoides), a complete mitochondrial (mt) genome was assembled as a single circular dsDNA of 35,159 bp.

Three New Species of Fusicolla (Hypocreales) from China

open access: yesJournal of Fungi, 2023
To explore the species diversity of the genus Fusicolla, specimens from Henan, Hubei and Jiangsu Provinces in China are examined, and three undescribed taxa are encountered. The morphological characteristics and DNA sequence analyses of the combined acl1, ITS, LSU, rpb2 and tub2 regions support their placement in Fusicolla and their recognition as new ...

Consortia of anti-nematode fungi and bacteria in the rhizosphere of soybean plants attacked by root-knot nematodes [PDF]

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science, 2019
Cyst and root-knot nematodes are major risk factors of agroecosystem management, often causing devastating impacts on crop production. The use of microbes that parasitize or prey on nematodes has been considered as a promising approach for suppressing ...

Proposal of a new family Pseudodiploösporeaceae fam. nov. (Hypocreales) based on phylogeny of Diploöspora longispora and Paecilomyces penicillatus

open access: yesMycology, 2023
During a field survey of cultivated Morchella mushroom diseases, Diploöspora longispora and Paecilomyces penicillatus, causal agents of pileus rot or white mould disease were detected, which resulted in up to 80% of yield losses.

Effect of photoperiod and host distribution on the horizontal transmission of Isaria fumosorosea (Hypocreales: Cordycipitaceae) in greenhouse whitefly assessed using a novel model bioassay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A model bioassay was used to evaluate the epizootic potential and determine the horizontal transmission efficiency of Isaria fumosorosea Trinidadian strains against Trialeurodes vaporariorum pharate adults under optimum conditions (25±0.5°C, ~100% RH ...

Taxonomy of the Sphaerostilbella broomeana-group (Hypocreales, Ascomycota) [PDF]

open access: yesMycological Progress, 2019
Three new species, closely related to Sphaerostilbella broomeana, are described from the USA and India. These species form septate conidia from simple conidiophores with individual branches terminating in a single phialide and chlamydospores. Teleomorphs, known for S. broomeana and S.

Phylogenetic position of Pseudohypocrea (Hypocreales)

open access: yesMycoscience, 2017
Abstract Based on morphological characteristics, a hypocrea-like collection from Hunan Province was found to be identical with Pseudohypocrea hongkongensis, which was originally reported only from Hong Kong, China. A living culture of the fungus was obtained from fresh ascomata, and its asexual morph is described for the first time.
