Effect of hypolipidemic and hypoglycemic drugs on ethanol induced hypertriglyceridemia in rats
An experimental model of hypertriglyceridemia induced by subacute ethanol administration was developed in rats. A four day schedule of administration induced a 50-100% increase of serum triglycerides, without changes in cholesterol levels.
