Circumcised hypospadias

Pediatric Surgery International, 2008
Patients with circumcised hypospadias have been of significant concern over many decades due to the belief that prior circumcision might negatively affect the results of hypospadias' repair. We evaluated outcomes in consecutive males with anterior, distal penile, and the megameatus with intact prepuce variant of hypospadias (MIP).After IRB approval a ...

HYPOSPADIAS IN NIGERIA

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1978
We present a review of 42 cases of hypospadias seen at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria from 1969 to 1977. The incidence was low. No family history of hypospadias was noted in any of these patients. Fifty-seven percent had associated anomalies--mostly of the genitourinary system.

Hypospadias Cripples

Urologic Clinics of North America, 1981
The term "hypospadias cripple" is an apt one. The successful surgery of this condition requires radical correction of all deformities, preferably in a single stage. In doing this one must be conversant with virtually all the existing methods of hypospadias repair and be able to apply them appropriately.

Hypospadias sine hypospadias

World Journal of Urology, 1992
There are four forms of chordee that do not involve hypospadias: cutaneous chordee, fibrous chordee, corporocavernosal chordee, and congenital short urethra. Hypospadias usually occurs as an isolated defect, but can

Hypospadias revisited

British Journal of Plastic Surgery, 1981
A careful histological study of chordee tissue obtained in 30 consecutive cases of hypospadias has shown the presence of a considerable amount of smooth muscle. Preputial skin contains some elastic tissue. This feature may well provide significant advantages in the use of tubed preputial skin for urethral repair.
