Excitation of Squid Giant Axons in Hypotonic and Hypertonic Solutions

Excitability of intracellularly perfused squid giant axons was maintained in hypotonic solutions (down to 300 mOSM) and in hypertonic solutions (up to about 10 OSM), when osmolalities of internal and external solutions were adjusted to be equal with glycerol, glucose, or sucrose.

This study identified Danofloxacin as a novel supporter of the maintenance of mouse embryonic stem cell (ESC) pluripotency. It functions partially by inhibiting HDAC1, which increases specific histone acetylation marks and activates key genes like Tert and Prdm10.

Dual Blockade of LILRB1 and LILRB2 Enhances Antiviral Immune Responses in SIV Infection

Dual LILRB1/B2 blockade with mac20G10 reshapes myeloid activation during acute SIV infection by targeting LILRB1 and LILRB2 on myeloid cells. This treatment enhances CD80 expression on selected myeloid subsets and increases plasma IFN‐λ, IL‐8, and IL‐1RA.
