THE ESTIMATION OF HYPOXANTHINE [PDF]
In a previous paper there was described a procedure for the isolation of the purines in a form suitable for the quantitative determination of the individual substances (1). A later publication reported a method for the separation of adenine and hypoxanthine and the determination of the adenine by precipitation of adenine picrate and titration of the ...

Hypoxanthine as a Measurement of Hypoxia [PDF]
The hypoxanthine concentration in plasma was found to be a sensitive parameter of hypoxia of the fetus and the newborn infant. The plasma level of hypoxanthine in the umbilical cord in 29 newborn infants with normal delivery varied between 0 and 11.0 mumol/liter with a mean of 5.8 mumol/liter, SD 3.0 mumol/liter.
