Scalable Synthesis of 2,2′-Anhydro-arabinofuranosyl Imidazoles [PDF]
We report the efficient and scalable synthesis of 2,2′-anhydro-5-amino-1-β-arabinofuranosylimidazole-4-carboxamide and 2,2′-anhydro-5-amino-1-β-arabinofuranosylimidazole-4-carbonitrile from commercial arabino -adenosine.

FLAVIN-HYPOXANTHINE DINUCLEOTIDE
1. FHD was synthesized from FAD by deamination with nitrous acid and the product was first isolated as barium salt. The yield and purity were, however, unsatisfactory by this method. Therefore, the product was extracted with cresol, followed by transfer in aqueous phase, and by subjecting to column chromatography, FHD was obtained in high purity in ...

Antimalarial activity of prodrugs of N-branched acyclic nucleoside phosphonate inhibitors of 6-oxopurine phosphoribosyltransferases [PDF]
Acyclic nucleoside phosphonates (ANPs) that contain a 6-oxopurine base are good inhibitors of the human and Plasmodium falciparum 6-oxopurine phosphoribosyltransferases (PRTs), key enzymes of the purine salvage pathway.

ZNF469 regulates the expression of genes encoding extracellular matrix proteins. Endogenous ZNF469 is predominantly cytoplasmic, while in transfected cells, it forms aggregates reminiscent of biomolecular condensates, located mainly in the nucleus. These condensates exhibit overlapping staining with proteasomes and are also associated with the mitotic ...

A one‐step electrochemical strategy is utilized to develop a flexible, enzyme‐free biosensor for the sensitive detection of uric acid (UA). The hierarchical cobalt nanostructures synergistically enhance the performance of the biosensor, resulting in a broad detection range of 5 to 700 µM with a sensitivity of 6.75 µA µM−1 cm−2 and a low detection limit

Acid-base properties of purine residues and the effect of metal ions: Quantification of rare nucleobase tautomers [PDF]
The macro acidity constants valid for aqueous solutions of several adenine, guanine, and hypoxanthine derivatives are summarized. It is shown how the application of the corresponding constants, e.g., for 7,9-dimethyladenine, allows a quantification of the
